Thread: Well at least counterattack actually happens now..
4 months and they fixed one thing. We actually counterattack now. Round of applause for the devs for fixing something that was low on our priority list.
Anyways, I picked a fight with 3 jawas and actually counterattacked twice in a row then another time all in about 10 seconds. I'm a master so I have the total um 105? I think counterattack. Still no return firing or anything , just a dodge.
I've seen people claim counterattack does this, and does that. Beforehand it was too hard to test, since well, no one really ever counterattacked except very rarley( and people without counterattack, do in fact, counterattack rarley, very odd).
But from what I've seen it's just a renamed dodge. It doesnt return fire that cant be blocked, and it doesnt speed anything up as far as I've seen.
It's just a dodge until I seem some concrete evidence otherwise, and from my personal experiance changes.
In PVP I counter atttack every other shot. Some fights I counter attacked 7 times in a row.
I guess a temp fix for us they made us tanks. Which is kinda fitting a carbineer should be the tanker of the ranged classes. I am happy with it it does help.
Yes, just a deceptively renamed dodge. And while it is a nice little boost to our abilities, along with a slight accuracy boost, it's gain is soured by comparison to what every other combat profession got besides us. Even rifleman got more, better upgrades than we did.

Bah, BS. I did a bunch of testing today and couterattack makes a good difference. Rifleman didn't get upgrades, they got fixes. They're supposed to be able to snipe, that was corrected. And they got more Block. BH's didn't get anything, btw.
Hey, what does Burst Shot do? Also suppression fire 2, is that somehow better or more damaging than suppression fire 1?

I think Supression Fire 2 does a tiny bit more damage than Supression Fire 1, but its a rather dumb thing to have since supression fire 1 isnt even a requirement for carbineers(Im master and dont have it) and Action shot 1 & 2 both do posture changes(one does area posture change) and bleeds.
So there is little/no point for a novice carbineer to use Supression Fire 2, which he gets a tier 4, while he gets Action shot 1 at novice.
Burst Shot 1 is just a lower damage faster speed crippling shot.
