Thread: Sign Here if you DONT want ChargeShot1 animation REMOVED.
I want to get a good idea of who is for and who is against this.. not that anyone ever comes to Carbineer forums...
I am creating 2 new threads regarding the ChargeShot1 Animation. The animation in question is the move where your character raises his arm and runs forward as you perform the ChargeShot1 KnockDown move on your opponent. At close range, this move looks like a football drop kick. Made more ammusing when the opponent falls flat on his arse.
I have created another thread for those who DO want the animation removed. Please sign the respective threads.
To me, the animation is a balancing point -- since we get a break on the timer, we have to put up with an increased chance to miss (due to being forced to stand). It is also a deterrant to using the more lenient knockdown rule as a spamming tool -- KD's shouldn't be spammed, and even if I think the ideal solution to this is to make them super-low damage moves, making it so the only spammable one (due to the timer rule) forces you quickly out of a range where you can hit anything works too. Seems fair to me -- although it'd be nice to be able to queue up chargeshot from crouching and have it force me to stand before firing (with the standing accuracy). As it is now, I have to hit stand before shooting, which means I get at least one shot in standing before doing the one I wanted to do from standing.
Besides, who doesn't want to emulate Han Solo's charge in the Death Star?
Heh, i made a macro for my ChargeShot1. I shout "Look at me! I'm an Idiot!" as I run with my arms waiving like a fool.
You did not kill me, I killed me.

If we're complaining about animations, instead of HAM costs...we're stupid.

why are they even considering changing this?
1. the animation is awesome
2. they should focus on changes we need or that the group argees upon needing as a whole
I used to hate it, but I admit the animation has grown on me.![]()
I alsoused to hate the fact that I had to stand up to use it, but I will gladly accept that as long as I don't have to worry about the timer.

I'm signing this not because I like the animation, in fact I don't. I'm signing this because knowing the devs, they'd update this before fixing HAM costs or fixing our specials which is not right.
