Thread: Can some3one explain a few things to me?...
I am wondering about terms i see thrown around such as bleed, I know one of our specials causes a Bleed but wanted to ask for some clarification on this..
If I have a target and wanted to bleed him is this Action shot 1 or 2?
How do I "Draw" something like one creature from a herd of them?
And good tips to use during combat such as good shots?
I have read akit if the post in here but like I said, I am new to Combat and didnt understand some of the things mentioned in some of the post.
Any help is greatly appreciated guys,Thanks!

EAT FOOD TOO!
My formula is 2 ryshcate, 1 breath of Heaven.
The difference is amazing, you can kill faster and also gain XP much faster.

I have a Cowardly Gurreck to Tank for me and I am almost master medic as well because like we say,"I bet I can kill me before you do" is so very true.
I thought there was a way to taunt or something to seperate animals from packs but I must be mistaken.
Again, I appreciate the advice very much, will help me alot as I also didnt know AS1 and 2 were stackable like that.
Action shot 1 and 2 both bleed actually. AS1 is a single target bleed, as2 is supposed to be area. However, AS2 can work oddly. Not all of the MOBs hit take dmg, the bleed, etc. AS1 and AS2 actually stack. I am not too good at getting animals seperated from their pack. Usually, for me, it involves waiting too long for one to wander far enough from the others to not aggro the whole bunch. I pull with the single target first, because, once I get the MOB far enough away from anything else to not hit others with an area (AS2) attack, the bleed from AS2 doesn't seem to have much of an option. Even though its area, since it is only hitting one target, the bleed effect hits that target (assuming I don't miss etc.)
Different attacks are good for different situations. Your area attacks are great if you have a good pet tanking. Soloing, I tend to bleed kite. That is, bleeding them (with both bleeds) and moving away from the MOB. I throw in a chargeshot (this is a KD. And is not really affected by the KD timer) And let the bleeds do their work. Near the end, I will throw in some legshots. Legshot is an action pool specific attack (as are AS1 and AS2).
I can't stress how important medic skills are to a carbineer. And if you have a mind too, go either CM or Doctor as a complimenting profession. Docs can buff, so the HAM costs of your attacks is nearly non existant. CMs, on the other hand, get poisons. I further my action damage by using action poisons on top of my action bleeds.
I would suggest getting burst shot asap. Its a good damaging attack, good for XP getting. Personally, I went for cripple first, and stunted my growth as a carbineer somewhat. Follow with chargeshot. This is from the line that gives you skills from combat xp. Chargeshot, for the knocdown effect, is great. You do extra damage if a MOB is KD's.
happy hunting!

If you want a more powerful attack, you have to pay the price in the name of balance.
BUT
Like I said, eat! I can't say it enough: Two Ryshcates and One Breath of Heaven = 0 ham cost if you are unarmored. If I'm in full composite burst shot costs me -19 and full auto single 2 costs -26.
Also, use full auto single 2 until the target is stunned. Once it's stunned it will take more damage. Then switch to burst shot. Full auto single 2 and burst shot do about the same damage, but full auto costs more ham because it can blind and stun. So you'll kill things quicker if they are in a stunned state.
Eat. Stun them. Burst them to death.

Since the recent patch I have actually found it easier to separate individual targets from a group. They fixed a bug where a rifleman using concealed shot on a mob would be screwed because the mob's friends would still respond to the attack, even when the targeted mob didn't. This actually helps everyone.
Here's what you do. Go prone at long range. Pop the mob with a bleed and then /peace. Back up to about 90-100m from the herd/group/whatever. Once the bleed damage hits, the mob will come to you and not bring its friends. Very useful. Just remember to be prone or kneeling at long range, otherwise the mob (and its friends) will come right for you.
One trick too : when I run enough away from the bleeding mob, I put on my casual clothes so I can regenerate my HAM while they bleed. I put back my armor when I'm full HAM or when they can hit me. And I don't put armor for the first shoot because the HAM cost is lower without it.
I have the armor/clothes in hotbar of course. If you don't know the commands yet :
/ui action toobarSlot00; ( to use something is F1 )
/ui action toolbarPane00; (first hotbar, to switch hotbar)
Correspondance between toolbarSlot and F1 to F12 :
F1 F2 F3 F4 F5 F6 F7 F8 F9 F10 F11 F12
00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11
12 13 14 15 16 17 18 1920 21 22 23 (shift + F...)
