Impossible to answer without knowing the other professions on your Character. But I will say that Carbineer is one of the weakest professions to dabble in.

See the tag, only topped it because of accuracy while moving..

Depens where your other points are.

Ok, sorry I read ya wrong I was shocked when I was thiking you were telling the poster that, because he didn't have any professions listed

Chargeshot is wonderful, and works well with Supression fire also if you get a dizzy on the person. If your points are sucked into BH (which is what I'm guessing), you can use Fire Knockdown from BH Carbines III in place of chargeshot, though most BHs believe chargeshot will knockdown more often.

Like Iebas said though, it would depend on how your PvP vs PvE ratio looks. If you want PvP, you need those defense mods, the wonderful counterattack mods, and specials (from 0-0-4-0), and you want your accuracy up high to break through your opponent's defenses (and give you the ability to run around).

PvE, it'd be more your choosing for what will deal out the most damage in my opinion. I'm not too familiar with that, as I'm trying to gear my character towards PvP capability (without being a twinkie stat stacker).

Oh yeah...slightly off topic...

If I were you (and if you haven't already), I would either run Nym's themepark on Lok (it's only three missions, with a vehicle you can finish it in a day) or just find one to purchase--get the Nym's Slugthrower carbine. It's got a higher minimum damage number than the laser rifle (which means more damage in PvP against ranged mitigation levels), it hits for acid and is AP1 (correct me if it's AP2, can't recall offhand), and has decent range stats for up close fighting...and it's speed is better than a high damage laser carbine (on average).

I have a speed slice on mine that knocked it down to 3.2, and always keep a +32% max damage, +15% max range powerup on it. Use laser carbine for distance, swap to slugthrower for up-close and personal.

That's kind of sad Iebas...he didn't come here asking for the best Bounty Hunter combo, he wanted to know what the Carbineers feel are good trees to work in.

Myself, I'd go 0-4-4-0 man. Boost your accuracy and get some decent specials with defense mods.

NO NO, I was responding to the Master BH that posted, not the original guy....sorry for the confusion.....will edit

And I would only go 0440 if doing PvP, otherwise get some speed. But it all depends on the other professions and their skillmods. IMO, ChargeShot1 is still one of our best shots, but is really effective at Master after you have full speed and full accuracy.

Like I said, it depends on the other skills.

Beside, been a month since the last time I used the LLC. And not since my last raid through Anchorhead that I pull up my pistol
Might jsut dump a few skill trees on BH to master Carabineer. But yeah. BH/Carabineer is very potent

(And the fact that he only wanted to do 2 trees, made me think he had a BH in the background :smileyvery-happy

Id get support for the full auto areas and charge shots...hopefully they get fixed compleatly. Then depending on what you went for...Tough call. You wont hit squat with out accuracy but you need speed bad also. Id say go acc because if you cant hit it the speed wont matter. The counterinsurgancy branch is good also for counter attack.

But if your only taking 2 branches and no other combat professions your only going to be a minor help to others in a fight. What are your other skills? Would realy help get you in the right direction. If your going sompthing like doc or another group supporting profession like cm Id just take the speed and acc branches as you wont need the aoe attacks to much and most likely they will just pull to many mobs on ya.
