Thread: formula for speed?

I heard that 1 second is the speed cap on weapons, and I was wondering, for each speed point, how much faster do you fire?

I'm wondering because I have a 1.9 attack speed E11 carbine (it was sliced for damage), and a 4.1 DXR6 carbine (also sliced for damage), and was wondering how many points I would need to cap on the E11.

right now I've got +30/+41 (+11 in skill tapes) to carbine speed

[(100 - PlayerSpeed) / 100] * Weapon Speed * Special Delay = Actual Speed, capped at 1.00

PlayerSpeed for 1.00 Cap = 100 - (100 / Weapon Speed / Special Delay)

For more details refer to my spreadsheet showing Nova's data from in-game.

Yet another plug for my spreadsheet and the GREATNESS of Nova

BTW, you need +79 Carbine Speed to cap that E11 and +91 for the DXR6.

I can get my skill page to display +92 but the hard cap of +25 above skills limits me to +85 Carbine Speed.

ok, awesome, thanks.

so with my current speed skill, I'll fire the 1.9 carbine (regular shots, not specials) at 1.121 , and the DXR6 at 2.419?

You got it, but who fires with Standard Attack anymore?

it's the only attack I know that has a base speed of 1

otherwise I use Burstshot1 and Actionshot2... however with the 1.9 speed gun, my HAM just rapidly vanishes (there's never a doctor buffing by the geno cave)
