Thread: My ideas for a master carbineer special
Eviscerating Volley - Cone area of effect shot with high damage and has a chance to intimidate, stun, and blindall targets caught within the cone. Great special for crippling an oncoming onslaught. Carbineers take damage rapidly in PvP due to lack of ranged defense, so these state changes can greatly reduce the damage output of their enemies.
I like the Eviscerating Volley and the Disintegrating Blast
we need a high damage special at master that can compare to the master skills of the other classes... we have plenty of state-inducing specials, although what I'd REALLY like to see is something that SLOWS enemy movement by half or more with a high damage multiplier (cone or not, it doesn't matter)
i think adding a ranged intimidate would be overpowering...we have enough quality states we apply...sure it'd be nice, but doesn't fall in balance to me.
putting an action fire AND bleed AND posture(down) into an AE shot would also be overpowering, sorry.
personally, i like the melee KD...but i'd take it one step further and make it a RADIUS attack...of which i don't think the game has any right now...but a move that does KD in a full 360 degree radius for...6m? that'd be very helpful since whenever targets attack you (npc's/creatures), they always seperate out so our AE attacks rarely hit more than one, much less all of them...it's a pain trying to kite them into a cone just so you can get them off of you. a low damage radius KD would be fun.
but personally i think we need chargeshot2 moved to master and some added defense. (moving charge2 so that masters have a distinctive special AND helps quiet nerf cries 'bout AE KD.
