Thread: realazation:we are not main line soldiers. we should be the SPEC-OPS soldiers of SWG.

Then what would you have commandos be?
I carried an M4 Carbine on active duty, and i was not spec ops. Never been to ranger school, seal training, ect.... I was a combat engineer. (mostly focused on landmine warfare)
Smackin someone in the face with the buttstock or attaching a bayonet for a melee attack is a good idea though.

we would be SPEC-OPS troops. like paratrooper comando's. fast powerful. commando's would be heavy weapons extrodonair. anti AT-ST. anti AT-PT anto AT-AT. ect. anti turrets ect.

i had this idea a while back too and gave our titles (mercenary, marauder, infiltrator, and assaulter) and our mods like counter-attack and accuracy while moving as reasons/evidence why. i say evidence because it looks like thats what the devs sort of intended us to be, and in i think we're shaping up to be more and more as things in the profession get fixed/addressed. spec ops forces are sort of crowd controlers in what they do. quick suppression of an enemy to get the job done. i think if we got some more speed, if counter attack really worked effectively, and carbineer got some more accuracy while moving, carbineer really would be the spec ops of swg.

Please please please dont compare carbines in swg to carbines in real life it doesnt work

ok here we go: rifleman should make up70% of the combat comunity. 10% to pistoleers. whoif they have masterrifleman and squad leader have a huge MSL bonus.
20% should be us. the carbineer's. specials opers. make it nearly imposible to grind xp. and have several more boxes that need APxp. ect ect ect.
10 of us should be able to take over a starport in bestine for a hour untill the main force arives.(of rifleman/tka's.)
we should have at master. 1 mellee attack. that hits the enemy with the butt of our carbines.

in WW2 carbines were used only by spec-ops paratroopers. weeker then rifles but faster and lighter. nowadays we use carbines in law enfortcement.(FBI,ect.)
in WW2 there were seeral carbines. mainly the M1 CARBINE and the M1A1 carbine. carbine versions of the M1 garand rifle.
