I would like to know counterattack working at all?!

I am Master cabineer. Counterattack is not working to me. I get to master cabineer but i don't see counterattack on my combat screen and I never counterattack anyone at all. Is it suppose to show up? And i see pets or animals counterattack is working on combat screen.
