Thread: Problem with ChargeShot2

This special has only been working for me about 1/2 the time....Im not talking about useing it on 5 people and only 1 is KD'd...Im talking of it not firing at all....Ill use the Area Dizzy 2 times then load Chargeshot2 and nothing...NE1 elese having this trouble??

This has happened to me aswell, always thought it was lag or something that didn't show it firing but if others got the same problem then maybe something is broken.

There is something wierd with this special when you open a attack with it. Same goes for charge1. I got around it by always openning with another special. I can't figure out what is wrong and can't repeat it so any help you can offer in own to repeat this would be very helpful.

its interesting that you mention this, i have noticed my lunge2 only actualy going off about 50% of the time when i use it as my opening move, other times it just goes to the next move like i never even hit lunge2. just thought i would let you know its happening to other classes as well.

I think this is a lag issue. I've had the animation not fire and the effect of the KD takes a few seconds to register on the target, but it does fire.

Ive watched this and im still getting around a 50/50 chance of it going off..Yea. I would aggree some maybe due to lag but, Im not getting the hits....I dont know but, it need tested more i think

I never have a problem opening up with this special. The problem i have is when i use /peace to clear my combat queue, and then try and use it, and i usually have to get another special off before i can use /chargeshot2

I have no lag problems in my city in the middle of nowhere on Rori where I test most things (too bad Rancors aren't here ). It is a lot more than lag and I think we are all having the problem. I noticed this maybe once or twice a week before Publish 7 on ChargeShot1, but now I notice it many times per hour!!! Can the Devs fix anything without breaking two other things.....

To make sure that CS 1-2 shoots... simply make sure you already engaged in combat and that your combat box is clear... then only put charge shot 1 or 2.. you will always shoot, if you put it in a stack, macro or open combat... you might not shoot

I think it is a problem with the manner in which the target aquisition takes place on some area attacks. When I'm in a pitched meele scrap with my pike I've noticed it to go as far as change the veiwable target on me after a series of AoE's. That is without touching tab or the mouse from the moment I aggro. Also, def mod effects seem to clear my combat que everyonce and awhile. Only however when attacked by a mob other than my primary, I will turn, block, and I'm cleared out to auto attacks, or it will skip a que'd special. I tend to notice this only with 4+ mobs, and while it has happened in PvP, I have never taken the time to examine it. Well, no that's not true, with the carb out I've dropped specials with a large group on a NS eldar. Not to the same frequency though, again I think it happened during a def mod action, in this case counterattack.

Here's what I saw while doing swordsman....If i was using spin attack on a group of creatures, and one of them died, it would clear my combat queue. period almost if noteverytime...I think it is intentional also, kind of asking you, one of them died, are you sure you want to perform the next attacks you had queued up. Whether it does it to allspecials, or just aoe specials, or just spin attack i do not know, i was spamming that one attack so I can't really tell you anything else. I do know that I tried spamming CS2 on a group of rebels and it worked beautifully, they were getting hit with enough kd's that eventually i think everyone fell, of course some of them had stood back up by then, and were immune but that's where dizzy comes in right? Or at least, it's supposed to.


I don'tknow ifone of the chargeshot's is not firing because I usually hit it twice to catch the ones that resisted the first one on the second go.


By the way, I just wanted to kind of let you guys know thati'm leaving, even with all the new fixes and working specials (YAY!!!) i'm sick of not being able to touch people in composite with buffs and probably psg's too. I don't have an uber gun, and I have no interest in paying millions or even half a million for a slightly better krayt gun. I have tried it with composite, I have tried it without, I have tried it with BH and I have tried it with MD. I can honestly say that carbineer doctor is the better template. the BH way is more offensive but you don't live very long so you have to be sure to take opponents out quickly, and that just doesn't happen with the prevalance of 2k buffs 80% composite and defense stacking. And yes, defense stacking is very much alive and well, just slightly less effective. Honestly I think I was doing more damage from the bleed on my enhanced E11 then I was with the actual attacks.


I've been some variant or another on carbineer since launch and it's time for a change, I think i'm having trouble reconciling the fact that a combat class is stuck in a support only role, since all I can effectively do is pc, kd, or stick some states on some people.


I've been slowly cannibalizing all of my carbine skills over the last couple of days and the only tree I have left right now is special abilities, it is by far the most useful tree, I'm almost hesitant to drop it, but bigger and better things await me just over the horizon.
