Thread: I need some advice on getting a krayt EE3
I could buy a EE3 today the stats are
74-288
2.4
unsliced
HAM
39/32/18
I want to leave the rifleman skill. I'm kinda new to the carb skill. Would this be a good gun to buy ? Its a krayt gun btw . I need something around 20m out. So I can throw my range stim As and heal my pet.
Any help from you guys would be really cool.

Yeah, its good, especially for an EE3.
that's a very pretty ee3. i am always surprised that this weapon gets so little love--i understand the attraction to the DXR6, Elite, and Laser, as well as the 'scout blaster' (aka DH17 carbine), but the ee3 should be right there, as well.
sure, it lacks the ap of the elite, e11, dxr6, and laser--but i, for one, am a huge proponent of toting a weapon for every occasion, which means being able to deal all sorts of damage. i would *much* rather have an ee3 than an e11, even if just for the fact that i already have a laser and an elite to deal energy damage.
my inventory of carbines at present:
ee3, 2.5, 97-228 (dmg slice, non krayt)
Krayt Laser (base tissue, dmg slice) 3.1, 49-389
Krayt Elite (base tissue, dmg slice) 3.1, 133-289
dxr6, 3.7, 133-198 (dmg slice, non krayt)
i use all of them. this may stem from the fact that i'm a BH and have /examine command from scout ( i always use the weapon the creature i am fighting is weakest against), but i have found that being able to deal different types of damage has been invaluable to me.
sure, ee3 is a bad choice in PvP--everyone and their grandma has adv composite with ap 1 and 50%+++ res, so that eats up ee3 dmg...but the ee3 will still get you through a lot of PvE...pistoleers use FWG5s like crazy, many of which are going to be comparable to the dmg of that ee3--and which are also no-AP, heat dmg...those guys do just fine...now...the difference here is that pistoleers don't have a ranged knockdown, or state-based specials like you do...that ee3 looks much more dangerous to me when it's toted by someone who can /chargeshot1, /cripplingshot /cripplingshot /chargeshot1, etc.
