If you do, you are in for a rude awakening. Ive been on this board for a long time now, and the same problems are here that were here 3 months ago. This is it guys, it aint gonna get no better, the easy way out is to nerf us even more. They have proven this over and over again. Switch to another profession. Its not that hard to do, and it will give you something to do in the game. But lets not go there yet...

I agree with you, they dont give a crap. The game is out and Sony isnt devoting jack **edit** towards maintenence or development (why should they? that was for beta). Why do you think the servers STILL go down every morning at 4am PST?No other mmorgshad to do that daily,especially after 4 months. Why do you think theprofessions and the other fundamental flaws havent been dealt withyet; just the little BS crap that no one cares about and the stupid little CHand pvp nerfs they do every month? Because the fundamental flaws cant be fixed by cutting and pasting code, they take time and effort. Sony has stockholders to please and profit margins to keep wide and they expect the star wars license alone to do this.

Where i dont agree with you is surrendering skill points for something else. Whats the point? What is better? Pistoleer? How long will it be before it gets nerfed and carbineer in its current state becomes the 'better' profession?

If you do notice the things are changing slowly, and they ARE trying to fix things, IMO. But they also want to get Player cities out, and Mounts, then Vehicles. I'd say it's like any big corp. it takes a while for things to get done. thats just my opinion. and if people arnt happy they may lose customers.

Personally I don't think they care about carbineers in particular - because if all of us up and cancelled our accounts they wouldn't even notice.

I am waiting to see what comes of the hints SOJ has made lately that some changes are in the works. If they aren't I'll just do what I have already done, retire yet another character 'til things are fixed.

However, I think I have more patience and time on my hands than a lot of people who will just cancel their account(s) instead of saying 'thank you sir, may I have another?'.

I am sure they just care about the bottom line - we have enough subscribers to turn a hefty profit and make ourselves look good? Great - no meaningful changes need to be made. I don't think we'll see any major changes in anything until people start unsubscribing in droves - like whenever the next big mmorpg comes along. I expect to see a LOT of frantic changes around then to try and retain a player base...

Instead of getting all this new stuff out,why not fix what we have,i would give up vehicles,mounts and player cities for a month or two(more if we have too)to fix what we have.

Im down to logging on 1 or 2 times a week to see if they have done ANYTHING. I remember when horses came out in EQ and everyone was psyched untill the day it released, then we all realized how bad they sucked. We kinda felt foolish. This game has so much potential and its a shame that it is going this way. Does anyone know who we can write to draw the proper attention to this situation so maybe something gets fixxed soon. This is obviously not the place to get anything done...they dont read this stuff. If you know who or where to post so that someone with some power hears us please post it.

yes. sony is a huge corporation. but it's not ''sony'' that's making the game. ''sony'' is just a legal entity whos bank account is funding the production of this game.

it's people who make this game. if you really don't think the people who created this game don't care about the opinions of the people who play it, then you've probably never created anything. there is a sense of pride you feel in your work whenever you create, whether it's a piece of art, writing, or a video game. however, with over 250,000 opinions, it's kind of hard to pay equal attention to all of them. there are trends in opinions of large groups, and due to time constraints (they only work so many hours in a month) and budget constraints, the opinions of the largest group are what tend to be noticed/addressed first.

as far as mounts/cities/vehicles and the se go, they probably were a little too optimistic in their time tables considering how long it would take to get the game up and running functionally (fixes for most major bugs).

bottom line, the people who code this game are not the same as the corporation that pays them. if the corporation doesn't see results (monetary of course) then funding will be pulled. that's just the way it goes. but the actual programmers quite likely have a great deal of pride in their work, and actually do care about the issues that exist. but they have alot going on, so try to be a little more understanding. and if you don't like being in the minority (carbs, pikes, squad leaders, etc) then there are many other professions that you can go to (bh, ch, com, etc).

hehe. just remove one of those ''don'ts''. it doesn't matter which one, taking out either one will give the impression that i was going after
