DH17 or E11. Easy. If you get really good tissues do it on a Laser Carbine, but with the ones you got, its best to make 4 DH17/E11s instead of 1 Laser Carbine. Elite is **edit**, I think it takes 5 tissues or so.

DH-17 or a good damage Krayt Laser, maybe an elite if you can find a decent one.

max damage on my Sliced Krayt Laser is 511, with a pu. and it's at 3.4 speed.

max damage on my Sliced Kayt dh-17 with a pu is 328 at 2.2 speed it's not too shabby

i'm in the process of getting a REAL elite carbine made ^_^

I don't know what you are talkin' about with no speed on the laser,.. the one i am currently using has a speed of 2.8.(thank goodness for smugglers) The only problem is i shoot twice as fast and use up twice the HAM.

Well i have two carbines that have krayt tissues the same as yours 1. Laser Carbine-3.2 spd/ 79-319 dmg/ 22.2% wound/ HAM 54,69,48 2. DXR6-5.0 spd/ 168-272 dmg/ 25.9% wound/ HAM 58,76,52.

Also most carbines have light armor piercing when the laser has medium piercing thats why i think everyone love laser carbines. Your dicision depends on if u want PvP or PvE because laser carbines shred through composite armor

Ok, I know this can of worms has been opened many times, but I've still yet to come up with a definative answer in my mind. I have 5 of the standard krayt tissue (+30 max damage/-0.3 speed) and can't decide which direction to go. It seems most people are in love with laser but that low end damage really bothers me. I'm 4-4-4-3 on the carbine tree and I'm torn if I should concentrate on PvE or PvP. Which all around carbine would YOU go with?

1.) Laser

2.) Elite

3.) DXR6

4.) E11

5.) D17

I'm curious as to most peoples response, please include a brief summary of why you chose what you did if you can please. Thanks for the input.

I'd recommend the Elite or the DH17 for either.

The DH17 is by far the most HAM friendly of the light carbines. Its very fast, fairly accurate and with the right power ups, very very deadly. This weapon is perfect support for any kind of pet user since the incredible rate of fire applied via ChargeShot1 doesn't need to hurt much so long as the targetis on his back at your pet's feet.

The Elite is a weapon in the same vein, they are just very hard to craft properly due to poor resources. They have fair speed, which power ups and slicing can go a long way towards correcting, and mid range damage with a tight spread that does not give the wildly variable damage of the Laser carbine. Again, depending on your slice, a counter power up for the opposite enhancement should make for a very servicable weapon. What youtrade offin speed for the Elite, you make up for it in AP1, which is a lifesaver on the Expert worlds. This is great for the same uses as the DH17 for those opponents with armor, it letsyoupack a bit morepunch with maybe a half secondmore time between shots.

The Laser Carbine is the cannon of the class and has a great deal of punching power, but its lack of speed is crippling to the playstyle I use, but if you have any kind of pet tanking ability where your pets can eat some damage for a bit, the laser will help you pound away at the target.

I suggest using the tissues on a laser carbine, and using it as a bleed gun. My two main reasons:

Laser Carbine has the highest damage potential.

Bleed guns are only used occasionally, so it will last you a long time.

Hmmmm ... that's an interesting idea Teemo. Never thought of caring a "bleed gun" spefically for that one task. That would be an easy macro to setup to equip the laser carbine and either /actionshot1 or /actionshot2 on the target and then change back to the workhorse carbine. I think that would work well in PvE or PvP too.

How many others do this? Is this even productive? Good responses so far from everyone. Thanks!

HOLY CRAP!

Over 500 max damage un-sliced and without a PU?!

That Laser Carbine could break 900 damage with a great damage slice and a +33% PU! That's crazy! Consideringthe AR2 of thelaser, anycrippleshot will probablyinsta-kill anyone in PvP, period. Without or without armor, that gun will rip someone to shreds.
