Thread: Cripple vs Burstshot1 vs Fullautosingle2

I know all are random HAM shots.


I know that Cripple has the highest damage modifier.


But as far as Damage Per Sec which is the best? Guessing Burstshot1 or Fullautosingle2...


Anyone know?



Also does anyone have the kinda of info listed below for Carbineers? It would be awesome to have!!!

Things break down at +100 speed, however, before then, it seems that:
Best Targeted Pool Shot: Body Shot 2 (eyeshot does 3.1 damage modifier, for reference..did not test delay however due to +100 speed issue)
Best Random HAM Shot: Fan Shot
Never use disarming shot 1 unless you’re attacking a lair.


Dmg mod = Damage modifier. This is using normal attacks as 1.0 reference (which is NOT based on weapon description for max/min damage. The weapon listed damage is actually multiplied by 1.5 to get the normal range of damage you do with that weapon)
Delay mod: Delay modifier
Damage/action = damage done per action point used
Action cost = action cost per shot using a scout blaster, only used to figure damage/action
dmg/sec based on +74 speed CDEF 4.0 speed pistol, 17-35 damage
sec/shot = based on same
dmg/shot = based on same


Key:


N = normal shot
FS = fan shot (random)
SS = stopping shot (random)
DT = double tap (random)
BS3 = body shot 3 (health)
BS2 = body shot 2 (not pistoleer, health)
PBS2 = point blank single 2 (12m range, random)
PBA2 = point blank area 2 (12m range, AOE random)
M1 = pistol melee defense 1 (7m range, random + knockdown effect)
M2 = pistol melee defense 2 (7m range, random)
HS2 = health shot 2 (health bleed, no initial damage, 20s ticks)
DS1 = disarming shot 1 (random, x2 damage vs lairs)
DS2 = disarming shot 2 (AOE +knockdown effect)

ok this is my personal openion but burst shot 2 or even burst shot one is better then cripple shot and fullautosingle. It all comes down to ham cost. Burst shot 2 just has alot lower ham then the other two and does about the same amount of damage, Most people say that those are better but try it out for yourself, burst shot 2 is the best trust me.



If you don't know what you want, you end up with a lot you don't.

At 90-100ish speed (not positive since I don't know the exact crippleshot speed delay), crippleshot is of course the best DPS since even specials will be hitting the speed cap -- so if you're a BH/carbineer hybrid, you have no need for anything but that shot.


That said, burstshot and scattershots are the best bets for damage per ham, which is more important to me since I choose not to indulge in medical skills.

well i was doing some testing last night with the specials crippleshot, burst2 and scatter2. now i know this is not that fair a comparison because i was useing the specials while doc buffed but i found that with a 23 mind cost on my carbine and with 450 focus crippleshot was costing me 19 mind per shot, while both burst 2 and scatter2 only cost 12 mind. on top of that i found that things went down just about as fast with scatter2 as they did with crippleshot. burst2 fell quite a bit behind dammage wise and i ended up useing as much mind as i did when takeing things down as when i used crippleshot.


also i hate to say it but since i went and grabed BH carbine 3 then i can no longer give real DPS comparrisons between the three specials but you can count on me useing scatter2 far more than i used to even when im not buffed.

Cripple is probably best for PvP combined with chargeshot, you get really high damage hits.

When I used to be carbineer/bh a basically unstoppable combo in pvp for me was Chargeshot, Confusion shot, Cripple Cripple....until dead. I would most often incap my oppenent in 3 hits or so. With charge shot combined with confusion, it knocked down, dizzied and stunned my oppenent leaving them helplessly lying on the floor for about 10 seconds.... Some times it was too easy Also having the BH speed and accuracy, I did those first 3 shots in about 2 seconds, my oppenent was dead before he hit the ground from the knockdown
