please answer to both...

1) If I go 2 levels into one tier, which should I take.

2) If I go 3 levels into one tier, which should I take?

if you mean 1 tree, then here's what most people will tell you

2 tiers in 1 tree: get chargeshot

3 tiers in 1 tree: get crippleshot

Charge shot - Special Abilites Tree

Crippling Shot - Marksmanship tree

I agree with what he said. If two, get charge, if three, get crippling.

I'd disagree, personally. Yeah, if 2, get chargeshot (special abilities -- the combat xp line). If 3, I'd get scattershot2. The speed modifiers in that tree will help increase your DPS with, say, fullautosingle2 (random HAM, like cripple), and the ability to get a little, but very likely, mind damage with scattershot2 makes those fights where you hit a few times in the mind pool that much easier. Some people also prefer scattershot2 over all the carbineer shots as the dps shot of choice due to its good speed and high combined damage.

Sure, cripple's good for one-shotting if you can. But the long delay on it brings it close to burstshot and fullautosingle2 in dps, and when you consider that they're all random HAM, and thus figure on distributing the dps among the pools, scattershot2 comes close to or beats them all.

i just got cripple shot last night, and am not very impressed with it to be honest. it didn't seem to do all that much more damage than fas2, and while it cost me a few less ham, it was significantly slower (don't get me wrong, the average damage per shot was higher, but not by as much as i had hoped, after as much as crippleshot is talked up on this forum). i'm 4303 now and am going to get burstshot next so i can compare for my own personal preference.

another idea for you is this: if you can go 0302, then you can easily go 4010 instead. the idea here is you will be almost as fast as possible with a carbine (missing only the master mod). there's an accuracy/speed tradeoff though. you will fire much faster, but will miss more often. i went up speed tree first, and to be honest, i would do it that way again if i had to. firing faster is a godsend. you just have to be conscious of a few things while fighting, namely your posture, distance to target, and ideal range. i fight against npc's, so i don't have to worry too much about them charging me for melee (in which case i just put my vk on, as i'm also tkm, but that doesn't apply to many people here ).

of course, if you can only afford just a few skills because you are already a bh, then you don't need any more speed, and should get crippleshot.

ok, I have figured out a way to get up a whole tree, is it worth it? or, should I do a whole tree and 1 on another tree?(something I might be able to do) Please help
