Thread: You know what would come in really handy? An AOE knockdown...
If only some profession out there had an AOE knockdown that'd totally rule, countless times having an AOE knockdown could have saved my life and the life of people in my party. Anybody know of a profession that has an AOE knockdown?
As it stands now, Chargeshot2 is supposed to be AOE but it is however broken. I am as are many others praying that they fix this...it would rule PVP as it would give us carbineers an ability to crowd control. Can you imagine how sweet it would be to:

I think that if any class should get an AoE knockdown if should be your class. Is suppression fire 2 AoE?
If not i think that it should be. AoE knockdown might be to powerfull, but i dont think that an AoE stance change would be to bad.
Think about /chargeshot2 (AOE KD) in conjunction with a Rifleman skilled in /flurryshot2 (AOE Dizzy). Two tactful players could completely work over a crowd in PvP.
The rfleman spams /flurryshot2 (also high damage) dizzying all the targets within three shots, while the carbineer has everyone on the groud after unsing /chargeshot2 two to three times max.
This tactic would work even better if you sent a few pets in first to lock all players auto attcak to something so the first person to open fire does not get destroyed by the onsluaght of automatic return fire.
Forget to mention (most of you know this) if you Dizzy/KD someone in combat (players and NPS, not critters) they do not get back up.
Dizzy + KD = Game over.
I dunno AoE KD's would be fun.
Just do Chargeshot2/wildshot2/Fullautoarea2/actionshot2
WIldshot gives the stunned I think - not sure but either wildshot or fullautoarea gives some effects so they're more vulneralbe to range attacks.
Great for PvP support =D... why I'm a master carbineer - hoping 1 day carbineers will be fixed

yes i have played a pikeman to master but that was before the KD timers, it was kinda fun but melee is just borked all around though TKA's dont have it anywhere near as bad as everyone else.
also come to think about it pikemen can even manage to AoE a dizzy with that KD if they have spin2 i think.
I was investingating this on the Pikeman boards yesterday. Apparently Pikemen have two area dizzy attacks: spin2 and area2. Although they are supposedly not as sticky as the TKA dizzy the combo of area dizzy and area KD could wreck havok at the tusken fort or inside faction bases.
funny thing is that to fix it youd just have to cut and paste the cs1 code to cs2, leave the damage range alone but jack up the ham, then cut and paste the the crappy, so- called 'AOE' code for actionshot2 on and youd have the perfectcarbine special 'upgrade' = same damage, higher ham, and anAOE effect that guarentees youlldamage a mob you werent aiming at, leave the mob you were aiming at unscathed, and mysteriously aggro everything else within 100m.
thats what i expect from SOE. i waspleasantly suprisedto find cs2 didnt work at all when i tested it.
