Thread: OMG YOUR HAM COST IS REALLY BAD
well our HAM cost is pretty rough. It also depends big time on the weaponsmith.I've been buying my weapons from one guy mainly,he's in our PA.
I took my DX that he made me up to Dantooine and man,I was gettng hit for almost 500 for some specials.Last night I did some shopping and found a vendor that had same carb for much, much less HAM costs( still hitgh when compared to the other two ranged profs though).
The weaponsmith in our PA does all his experimentation in increasing damage, which is great for rifles and pistols becasue their HAM costs aren't that bad to begin with, but on a carb..Good Lord,it was a nightmare! hehe..I was using a stim almost every time I used a special.
I'm just wondering if a lot of weaponsmiths do this.I mean yeah the basic damage on the "suicide" carb
was higher tham normal, but if you have to hit a stim b after a bleed shot, well it's just not worth it.
Bottom line, you have got to shop around. All carbines are NOT the same.Try different vendors and you'll see.
You think that's bad? CrippleShot (Carbineer Marksmanship 3) does 1400 pts max with my laser carbine (56-269 @ 2.9). I've since started heading for master marksman. I am at Rifles 3. I have a laser rifle (104-386 @ 6.0). I do 1400 pts with HeadShot2, and the enemy doesn't notice me, and the HAM cost is 1/4 of what the carbine costs me.
Need I say more?
I'm still someone a newb at this game...
but do the carbine specials have massive damage multipliers to health and action, but none to mind?
Take as example, my laser carbine: its like... 20/40/20 or some nonsense like that... that point is almost negligable, as when I fire off legshot 1, I take 120 damage to my health...
Does anyone know what the multipliers on HAM costs are for carbine? I'd think firing off 50 specials on a little gun would be more taxing on your wrist, than firing a weapon you hold with two hands.
Or could it just be because my strenght is 400?
