Thread: Lets start talking about our issues again....
Sense SOJ is out of action or at least apears to be lets gets this started again.
List your top 5 issues. Please dont rant, swear, ect... SOJ will more than likely compile these later if not I will. No I am not trying to be the correspondent, but I dont want to lose the only comunication we have at this point.
When you right your reason please explain it unless its ham costs ordefunctspecials. We all know those problems.
My top 5
1 Carbineer is missing speed bonus's compared to the other elites. This hampers are ability to compete as speed determines DPS. Rifleman and Pistolier both hit or come so close it doesnt matter. We are 30 speed behind the rilfleman. If we could at least get brought up to even with them it would greatly impact the usefulness of the carbine attacks.
2 Our HAM costs are too high for the DPS we have.. We are aware of the new system but we hurt our ham so much that we only have to be hit once to be incapped. So taking it off the top or making it damagedoesnt change the end result. We should not have to be buffed tofunction.Currentlyto function at the same levelas other elitesyou must ether be buffed or have medic skills. This is nottrue with most otherelites.
3 Our specials are mostly not working. I think a big part of this is the area attack does not work consistenly. Also our higher level attacks have little to no improvement and in some cases are worse than are lower level attacks. The only specials that currently work as intended ( as far as we can tell) are: Cripple shot ( yes I know there is some debate on this one), charge shot 1, burst shot 1, and scatter shot 1 & 2 .
4 Our elite carbine needs a bit of a boost. The consitent damage just isnt a good trade compared to the far superior damage max damage of the laser carbine. Also the elite is ar1 and the laser ar2. If not a damage upgrade maybe a change in damage type to a more rare type like cold , stun, or something.
5 The defenses our class has still need improvement when it comes to status type effects, it would be nice if we had some more protection against these attacks at least enough to compare to other elite combat classes.
These are mine if I end up compiling I will go with the majority. I understand that my opionion on carbineer is different than most everyone elses.

2) Can you make counter-attack really counter attack instead of just dodge?
3) Fix speacials, no point for me to level up if all I get is something that doesn't work
4) Elite Carbine - can it be made elite instead of kinda good?
5) speed - instead of +5 for every box why not +15 or at least +10

1) Broken Specials - already documented. Impossible to balance something that is broken.
2) HAM costs - self explainable, acknowledged by devs
3) low +speed mods - we cannot reach speed cap in many cases unless we add BH carbine
4) Elite carbine - is anything but elite. tweak it. Can be a good weapon with the VERY right resources. possible to adjust resource requirments to something not so super rare?
5) Fix spelling of carbine across the board
Agreed on the original poster's top 5.
A comment on speed mods. Carbineer gets +60 at master. That is juts too slow.
They should be at +75 minimum. The assult box should progress +5 +10 +5 +10 and then +15 at master. This adds +15 speed to put a master at +75.
It is important to not that carbineers are not inherently higher damage than pistols yet #1 they are slower and #2 we get less mods. This needs to be addressed.
you know a rifleman with damage sliced T-21 and mind/damage powerup will shoot every 1.5 second (for about 4k-5k damage - that goes to 8k if against AL0 foe) - note that the rifle takes stock speed and it's enough to almost cap the speed at 1.5 second with the strafe 2 shot - the shot they get at master and has the same mod as our crippling shot.
A carbineer with krayt (-.3 speed) damage sliced carabine will hit for about 0.5-3k every 4(four) seconds.
ah yes here I'm including the speed formula
(weapon speed)*(shot delay penalty)(100-speed mod)/100
for rifle (100-speedmod)=100-90 = 10
for carabine (100-speed mod)= 100-60=40 or 4 TIMES faster than carabine
for pistoleer (100-74)= 26 or about 1.5 times as fast as carabineer although their guns are generally twice as fast too so we are stuck with 3.4(laserkrayt)speed gun and 60 speed mod than a pistoleer who has a 1.6 speed gun and 74 speed mod.
Other than that I want my dizzy fixed , of course HAM would be nice too
Anyone else? I mean come on SOJ shouldnt have to do all the work here its not like they are paying him. It is not pointless to post your thoughts cause more than likely they assume that the old top 5 is out of date. SOE has this habbit of thinking that thingsmay have changed as stuff gets better do to resource improvements. If anything else it will give SOJ the ability to go look the game has been out for 7 months now and our top 5 has been the same the whole time.

2) chargeshot 2 fixed with maybe a nerf to it so it is just a single target KD+dizzy
3) give me a dizzy
4) up the spd mods in the mannor discribed by the poster a few up 5 10 5 10 15
5) dizzy (give me this and i can continue to work around the HAM costs)
6) did i say that id sure like a working dizzy
I'd like our specials to work as intended.
HAM costs are a bit of a bitch unless you're buffed, I don't believe that it's a problem with the weapon HAM costs as Pistols and Rifles can have large HAM costs, but it seems like our special's HAM mods are high.
I couldn't care less about any of the spelling, forget about that untill we're fixed.
