Even though I've been using carbines since launch, I still don't know everything about every carbine.

I always used a DH-17/ Laser Carbine combo, but since I got my NYM Carb I have been paying more attention to enemies resistances.

Whats the other acid damage carbine we have, and can it be made better that Nym's?

Also is there a thread lising current carbines and their stats and abilities?

I want to get 1 of each kind made.

Also do the Elite carbines still suck?

Our other acid weapon is the DXR6. Like most carbines it can be made crummy or amazing depending on who's making it and with what. As far as I know all Nym carbines are the same since they're a "loot" item and not made from a schematic. The Nym is a decent performer, and unique becuase it's a slugthrower (and in my opinion should therefore do kinetic damage) and fires bullets rather than blaster bolts. You can definitely find DXR6s that fire faster and harder, but the Nym is still good and I've enjoyed mine quite a bit.

Not having them in front of me I couldn't tell you about other features like HAM cost or armor piercing, but the Nym does seem to be an action hog. I can easily obliterate my HAM bar with three underhand shots.

stats on the nym carbine (with 29% damage slice)

light armor piercing, acid damage

132- 279 damage, 4.0 sec

-10 @ 0m, 0 @ 28m, -60 @64m

HAM = 36/62/32

overall it's better than my stocked and scoped dxr6 that i have, but as been pointed out previously, the stats can vary greatly depending on resources, optional components, and the crafter.

I kinda like the slugthrowers +50 at 0 range, so when I'm getting jumped at close range or doing a dungeon, it helps I think.

Personaly i hate nyms thrower. Not to bad on hams and damage but the ideal range bonus is horid. Good luck getting consistant hits with it even at master. Get a dxr6 for acid damage. you can have it made how you like and it will outperform nyms in every way. Personaly im alwase buffed so i have my weapons made with stocks and scopes all for damage and aim. THe hams unbuffed are sick...like 200 action for a FAS2 shot lol...but buffed its nothing. Ideal range bonuses are almost important as damage and speed. Most people over look them. But ill tell you this...As a master carbineer and doc i kill sevral def stackers who seem shocked that i can hit them about 75% of the time...My ideal bonus on my pvp carbine is 75 though and i have a few attachments. With the bh acc and speed i immagen i wouldent even know wen i was fighting a def stacker anymore.
