Thread: OMG, when this profession gets fixed, we will kick sooooo much butt!

I used to be a complainer, but I have seen the light!


I'm just waiting for that special day. One day, I'll sign on, and POW, Carbineer will be fixed.


What a day it'll be!


I'm 3.4.2.3 in carbineer. I've noticed thatour specials register high damage like few others. I'm hitting over 2k a shot with Crippling Shot on rancors when we group up while other players' specials are in the 700's. Charge Shot hits hard, even with the goofy animation. But wait till they tweak the other specials!


I had 3 Rancors grouped together, and one area shot blinded them all. What!?!?!? What other profession is gonna have that kind of effect? Imagine if it dizzyed and stunned more consistently too.. what!!!


I'm so souped!


I don't know how this ranged defense mitigation will work, but if it means that we'll have more defense against other shooting professions...what!!!! We will kill all pistoleers and outshoot most rifleman.


I'm telling ya, it's gonna be a beautiful thing.


PVP will be easier too, as you can't really fight when you're blind, stunned, and dizzy--something that we'll do quite easily.


And if they tweak the HAM to make it easier on us, meaning that I'll just have to buy less food and buff less to counteract the high costs (take notes if you've been complaining about HAM costs...), I dunno if our profession will even be fair!


Don't get me wrong, I know we won't be as nice in combat as commandoes or BHs, but we will damn sure be #3!


Keep the faith, hopefully we'll have to change that Carbineer motto to 'you don't stand a chance...'


And for all the naysayers, especially the newbies, there was a time not too long ago where commandoes were the most worthless combat profession, so it CAN happen

You understand that the more of an advantage a class has over others, the more people will switch over to it. Will you feel powerful doing 2K damage as a carbineer when you're engaging another person doing similar damage to you?

If by "fixed" you mean a combat pass that fixes the specials at a minimum, a review of weapon damage, defences and resists, additional weapons and a major change in specials cost and the unhealable importance of the Mind pool in combat .. you might be right.

Or we could come out of it still mediocre at best.

I found this statement amusing. You'll kill a BH every time as I do unless he's a x-4-x-x BH andMaster Carbine and you still have a chance against those. Commandos are like candy as long as you stay at least 17m away. I've stopped counting all the TKM I've killed one on one. The only ones I don't seem to beat much are the defense stackers, but then even defense stackers cant kill defense stackers because nothey cant hit each other. Pistoleers can be a pain sometimes b/c of their defenses.


P.S. I already have a working area dizzy! Now if they'd just fix chargeshot2...


P.P.S. I took on 3 buffed rebels last night (a TKM, commando, not sure what 3rd one was) and killed them all.

yes i agree we would be good if we got fixed but considering we will NEVER!!! be fixed means that we will always sucks the DEVs dont even know there is a cabineer pro o ya for thoz of u that dont know we are supoz to have an area dizzy (full auto area) and an area KD (charge shot 2) but gess what they are broken yaaa to the DEVs hard work they take away charge shot 1 but dont even try to fix the other attacks

but dizzy? we have a dizzy? if we have a dizzy i'm gonna go dizzy me some targets while prone, stand and charge shot em, and then crippling shot them to death while i laugh at a distance

That is exactly what I do Dizzy, Chargeshot1, Cripplingshot....then fill the queue with Burstshot til the suckers goes down

What shot gives us dizzy?!? That can be the answer to all my problems,. And man, I would've loved to see any carbineer take on a buffed TKA master. I would be taking notes.

Both Full Auto Area 2 and Full Auto Single 2 have the effects of Blind, Stun, AND Dizzy. However, the dizzy wears off the very second it lands. Watch carefully over the monster's head. You'll see +Dizzy+ and -Dizzy- float up at the exact same time. You'd think this would be an easy hot fix that someone could do instead of taking lunch.... but we all know how much we love lunch.
