Thread: The state of states.

Been here since launch, never quite understood what blind, dizzy, or stun actually did.

I used to be a master ranger and all my traps were state effects.

It was only obvious on root and tranquilizers that slowed down the creatures.

Obviously knockdown is obvious.

Bleeds are obvious, (actually, what is the bleed with the "white blood" indicator?)

Can someone explain what blind, dizzy, or stun actually do?

Are Carbineers gonna get a carbineer dizzy?

white blood indicator is intimidate

stun causes the person to lose 1 round of attack

blind decreases accuracy

dizzy may cause a person to fall over. If that person is knocked down while dizzy everytime he/she tries to get back up there's a chance that person is gonna fall down again.

blind decreases the person/creature's accuracy drastically...a bh/carb or bh/pistol has so much accuracy they can basically ignore it, but in most cases you'll miss quite alot while blind.

dizzy gives a chance to "fall down" upon posture change (i.e. kneel/stand/prone)...dizzy can never knock you down, it's only when you're forced into posture change or you stand up, etc that dizzy takes effect and can knock you on your back.

stun slows down the attack rate...not sure what the multiplier on it is, but affectively just sticks in a speed multiplier much as special moves do.

the "white blood" i believe you're referring to, is the symbol for intimidate...which decreases the damage done while intimidated...it's a must for any melee'er in there taking hits, but since there is no ranged intimidate that i know of, us ranged guys/gals don't pay much attention to it.

carbineers have "had" a dizzy since launch...just one of the many broken specials, yay for us...theoretically we might get it in publish7...nova i believe was told all the bugged specials he passed along should be fixed on TC soon, and in publish7 (1month or so).

Wow you guys do not know what your talking about.....

Stun doesnt take away a round of combat, it allows you to hit the person on the other end easier, thus its a very effective tool against defense stackers.
