Thread: Best tree in Carbineer to go up first??
Well, the fourth tree, carbine special abilities, takes combat xp, so you can go up that without the cost of xp that could be used in the other trees.....
So now three trees to choose from for your precious carbine xp
And then I would probably go up accuracy....the other trees won't do you much good if you can't hit what you shoot at ![]()
Get 001X first. BurstShot1 along with FullAutoSingle2 (Novice Carbineer) are by far your best specials all the way to Master. Everybody wants CrippleShot, but the cold, hard facts say that the long delay makes this a lesser DPS shot unless you have BH Carbines or Skill Attachments.
While the best approach is going up Accuracy and Speed together, I give a slight edge to Speed. First, ScatterShot1 and ScatterShot2 specials are better than LegShot3 and CrippleShot. Second, it is easier to get Accuracy bonuses with a Scope or simple Posture Change but Speed is much harder to modify. Unless you have +15 to +25 Carbine Speed Attachments, get some speed first. 211X is nice if going up them evenly followed by 311X.
Lastly, get the 4th tier for Accuracy instead of Speed. There are no working specials for either one, but the modifier for Accuracy is HUGE compared to Speed. So 341X is you last stop until Master.
BTW, with Publish 7 BurstShot2 will be going to AoE and after some testing, that may warrant a slight adjustment. Of course AoE attacks can be real nasty if you aren't prepared to have 2-10 extra creatures on top of you ![]()
