I've decided to actually stay at my master carbineer status. Once I got there I came to the conclusion that, though I sometimes suck, I still have fun. So, since I am going to stick around I'll need to get some new guns. I'm a complete stranger to weapons crafting though. What should i ask of the weaponsmiththat is not impossible? Are scopes, stocks, and barrels worth it? What should I ask for on those? perhaps you could answer with an example. how do you make an order? please keep in mind that I do not have 1mil to spend on one gun. I mean c'mon, i'm a carbineer/pikeman, how much money could I possibly be making please and help would be appreaciated, unless your idea of help is to tell me laser is the best, no substitute, high damage and low ham (no help from that) maybe I'm being too picky, but i read too many questions that get answered without much coherent thought.

I got a set of carbines made up with adv stocks and sights. The HAM costs were outrageous but the min damage increase was worth it. I think they would be reduced if you lost the sights and just went with the stocks. I'm just waiting for a mate in real life to master weaponsmith so I can sit with him and make me pretty sexy carbines. Other than that get crates of Min Dam / Speed power ups. You get the boost in man damage andsome extra speed - can't live without them

On a side note, which carbines you looking at getting ? Personally only found the Laser, Elite & DXR6 to be worthwhile.

Best thing would be to try and get your hands on some form fitted stocks from the imperial themepark. They are alot better than crafted stocks. A low ham scope is always good to get aswell.

As for carbines I prefer the following ones.
Elite - pvp and pve
Laser - pve
DXR6 - pve (acid damage)
EE3 - pve (heat damage)

the form fitted stocks are in fact very good to add to your weapons.

on starsider there is a player (i won't use a name because i have not asked permission) who makes some of the most amazing weapons i have ever seen. this person puts up two different styles of each weapon. a 'Heavy Damage Edition' and a 'Sniper Edition'. the weapons differ just as the names imply. the heavy damage editions always to TOP END damage even before slicing, and the sniper editions , while NOT weak, don't hit as hard but have a +115 at ideal range... +115!!! so you ALWAYS get +50 to hitwhen you are within several meters of your ideal range.

find a weaponsmith (open your Ctrl+P window, go to the search tab, and in any major city run a search for Weaponsmiths. i would suggest you filter it to show you only the master weaponsmiths) and send a polite /tell asking if they have a shop. DON'T ask for a weapon right away, don't ask if they do custom orders right away, just ask if they have a shop. they will more than likely send you an email with a WP. go look at their wares. a word of warning: an empty vendor RARELY means that the person's weapons are so good that they sell out fast. it means either holo-grinder or a lazy weaponsmith. you do not want either.

once you find someone you are impressed with. buy some things off the vendor before you make a custom order. if the weaponsmith remembers seeing your name in the emails, he or she is more likely to put a little bit of extra effort into the custom order for a good, repeat customer.

i hope this helped you a little

well i currently have Elite, Laser, Dxr6, and had ee3 and dh17snub (loned those out to guildies) I have some pretty good guns for the price I paid, i'm just looing to get better ones since I'm gonna keep the profession. I'd like to have all of em on me, the elite with power ups has close to the same speed and damage as my laser. now that I know the medium ap acts no diff than the light ap, elite is definatly my choice. Always need a dxr6 and ee3 for pve against critters valnurable to their respective damage. Also no everyone in pvp is decked out in composite, i've seen lots leaning towards ubese, or none at all, so and ee3 isn't completely useless, given that it has low mind cost you can save your mind for heals, and don't have to sit down every 10 min when muon wears off.

I guess my biggest question is about the scopes, stocks, and barrels. What exactly do each do? What should I expect them to add to the carbine, as far as ham, damage, accuracy, and such? i know that there are different types of each, which should I look for?

Shin,

I would like to know the same thing. It would be nice if someone could give us the specs of a Stock and a Scope. like Scope adds x to acc. x to would x to ham and such and such. I know experimentation can affect either of the aspects of a optional component but I would just like to have an idea as what the maximum of each aspect it can add so i can ask a weaponsmith to make me what I am looking for. Thanks for any help you can offer.
