So, from this forum, I gather that the biggest problem is the huge ham costs (with broken specials a close second).
And I also gather that the high ham cost specials are area or single status effect. So if you're just interested in attaching status effects, why not just use a cdef for the huge accuracy and negligible ham cost? Is there a special reason for not doing this that I don't get? I mean, for TKA and pistoleerI justpull out the scout or fists for the status specials and the high damage weapons for the damage specials, so wouldn't cdef carbine be a close equivalent?
Thanks

I'd rather use an DH17 for adding states to my targets, got better speed and the ham costs are not all that bad. But I'm mostly buffed when I'm pvping anyway so HAM costs arent that much of an issue.

I like to spam my specials in PvE (usually burst shot 1 and 2, and full auto area 1... I'm only 0-0-3-1 in carbineer), and those wouldn't do much with a CDEF

There are several reasons not to switch:
1. Some people are too lazy to press a couple of extra buttons. This is me.
2. Some people cannot afford a new CDEF because they are bums who like to hang around the Anchorhead Tavern. Also me.
3. Because of the cows.
