It works as advertised......but it is not one of my regular shots for PvE or PvP.

On the subject of Scattershot, do you really think it's useful once you have FAA and Cripple Shot speed capped?

Yes, scattershot 2 and crippling shot are the two main damage dealing shots that I use. Crippling shot is for targets with Hams low enough that 4-5 crippling shots to any one pool will kill it and to use on a target that is KDed. If a target has any more than say 10k or it has high resists and it will take a lot of shots to kill scattershot 2 will kill it much faster than crippling shot. Scattershot 2 is also my primary damage shot for PvP because of it's ability to consistantly hit mind.

I agree. I got into a lengthy fight last night with a Master Rifleman/Master Fencer/Medic. As I allways do, I stuck to my plan of applyig states, going for the KD, and then doing my damage. He must have had 80% kinetic composite on becuae when I put my VKs on, I couldn't scratch him, abd his stun baton started hitting my health real bad. I decided it was gonna have to be up to my carbines. Knowing he was a rifleman, I went with my elite for better mitigation damage. I started off using crippling shot for my damage, and it was hitting his health pretty well, but he kept healing it. His mind, being a rifleman, was buffed up to a little over 3k. I figured this was going to take forever using crippling shot, because all he was doing was healing himself back up. Queue scatter shot 2. As soon as I started using scatter shot, I noticed MUCH more damage hitting his mind. If I had noticed this right away, the fight would not have lasted more than 2 minutes. The other thing I had to my advantage was that I am allways prepared for a rifleman, or anyone that can hit my mind well. I have 4 composite helmets. One 80% energy, one 80% kinetic, one 80% acid, and one 38% stun. Thank God for the stun helmet, as he was using a pretty good ion rifle. So, I kept reapplying states, going for KDs, and scattering away.
We talked via tells for a bit after the fight. Not less than 2 or 3 seconds after I incapped him he sent a tell saying good job. I was impressed. I actually had a very good fight and was lucky enough that my opponent was mature and a good sport. I told him that was the most fun I have had in PvP in quite some time, and he concured. He also said that he has never lost a fight with a carbineer, until me. I took that as a huge complement, and thanked him. We went on to "shoot the **edit**" about templates and what not. In the end, I had great respect for this guy, and told him I hope we meet this way again in the near future.
