I'm a Marksman 4-4-4-4, Scout 4-0-3-3. Been hunting quenkers and can do it but I get killed alot and it takes me a long time to complete the mission. Using a laser rifle and MindShot 1 to start off with. I usually have to stand up and run and the Quenker kills me. After I wake up the bleed shot has worked on him and I have no problem with that one anymore. Can anyone give me a better combat technique.

Anybody hunt animals on Dantooine? I'm Marksman 4- 4- 4- 4, Scout 4-0-3-3.

Would like to know what special moves you use and what you hunt. Thanks.

I get a full set of Doctor's buffs first. That gives me three to four hours of blasting them varmits without taking much damage. You'll still get wounds, but your ham will stay high.

I use one mindshot2, then mindshot1 then just autoattack till it's dead.

There's the "old-style" method used by us riflemen back in the old days.
The 3rd box of the 4th tree in Marksman (Special Abilities, box 3?) has "Warning shot".
I mastered rifle with this:

1. Go prone at 60
2. Mindshot2, Mindshot1, Headshot2... (more headshots if MOB isnt charging you yet)
3. The minute MOB starts charging, fire a couple of Warning Shots and PEACE IMMEDIATELY.
(MOB should turn and run the other way, but if hit with another shot will come back again)
4.Let him run off and bleed, he might turn around and come after you eventually
(but just follow up with more warning shots). We called this the yo-yo effect.
5. When he is almost done from the bleeds, go finish him off.

Other methods:
1.Get Conceal Shot.
2. Get Buffs like the poster above recommended.
3. Get Novice Doctor and Stim B's and heal yourself.
4. Get Muon Gold.
5. Hunt easier animals.

Now that you can't stack bleeds, I'm gonna tell you what I do now:

Go prone at 61m (explained below) to the target.

MindShot2, then spam peace.

HeadShot3 (or FlurryShot2), then spam peace.

Kneel, HeadShot3 (or FlurryShot2), then leave on regular attack. (At this point, it should be close to dead).

You stay at 61 because the MOB might move out of range while you're prone, and you don't want to waste the time changing position. Doing this you get three free shots (most of the time) before the MOB moves against you. Choose between HeadShot and FlurryShot depending on if Mind is its weakest HAM bar.

If it's an aggro MOB, just do the bleed and one hit before moving to 90+m (don't forget to peace in between each one). The bleed should take effect when you are well out of range, but it should (SHOULD) only pull the one you attack.

If you throw a pet in the mix (seeing as you're near the CH prereq's), send the command to attack only after then third hit so it can tank at the proper time without wasting the free hits.

Rinse and repeat.

P.S. -- As a former Master Pistoleer, I should tell you this technique allows you about 4 free hits on MOBs for pistoleers. Oh well.

I use Carbineers specials to kill Quenkers. I wouldn't try it as a marksman.

yeah, as a marksman, you just can't deal enough damage, which is the biggest issue.

my advice is to hunt leviasqualls on rori, or something similar, until you hit carbineer (fullautosingle2 is a good attack). at that point, you'll need buffs to hunt, but you should be semi-effective.

remember, use your marksman skills... warning shot is great on levia squalls.. hit one with 2-3 successfull warning shots, and it will slow to the point that you can easily kite it and kill it (or bleed it out) at your leisure.
