My friends recently convinced to start on my Holo Grind, just because I had nothing else to do. So I used my first one and it said Carbineer. I was excited because I always had wanted to try Carbineer to see what it was like and this was my chance.

I feel so sorry for you guys.

I thought Bounty Hunter was messed up. The HAM costs in the Carbineer tree was enough to make me forget Holo Grinding.

There is something definately wrong when I use 1 special and its costs over 400 HAM.

Hang in there, hopefully those HAM changes coming soon will help you guys out!

Heh, that's the funniest (or saddest) thing about Carbineer -- the HAM costs, I mean. I got Carbineer for my second holo, and I'm actually having a lot of fun with it. Right now I'm 4304 in it... and I haven't gotten a single point of carbine exp except when buffed. Every single box, every point... buffed in all 6 doctor stats and hunted on Endor.

It's just not fun trying to play a Carbineer without buffs. At all. (Here's to hoping the combat balance fixes this...)

Well, I got Carbineer in my second holocron also. I am now 3/4/1/3 and I have made almost all my xp unbuffed, so it's doable. Of course I have used pistol bleeds to increase damage, and I am TKM so many mobs misses me a lot, which helps. But the essential is the use of a good armor. Quenkers on datooine e.g. can be killed by bleed/autofire fairly easy, and one or two special shots is no problem of doing before they reach you.

i got a silent holo a while back and no i had doc and didnt kno what to do - but i knew carbineer eats HAM like candy, so i went for it. no im also 4.3.0.4 and never had this fun since TKA.

god i hope they dont nerf the chargeshot - that one is a blast! had so much fun just watching the animation, and delays your target a little moment with 100% sucess if you hit it
