Thread: Carbineer Publish Issues

If you have any issues with the publish, this is the thread to bring them up. Early next week I will bring them to the Developers. Please keep this thread positive and constructive. Discuss issues about bleeds or chef buffs or issues that changed in this patch. Complaints about the lack of specific carbineer fixes are off topic. It doesn't mean those issues are not important, it is just they that are well known, well documented and developer acknowledges. Fixes for those issues will come with the core combat changes.


Some food for thought:


1. Bleeds no longer stack. Since actionshot2 has odd behavior, how does this effect our class?


2.Chef buffs have changed. You may want to read up on them in the Chef forum.


3. Any other issue relevant to this publish.

This is a little off topic, but here goes


I would love to help test some of this on TC, but can't until /up is working. Any word on this? I know this gets asked a lot on the TC Forum, but these changes aren't live and not sure how many of us here can go test Carbineer on TC.


For those on TC with a Carbineer, I suggest testing ChargeShot1 and our other couple working specials to make sure we don't get a stealth nerf.



I highly recommend checking out the Chef changes, they look awesome

Assuming they fixed the Correspdant Terminal, I'll test the specials tonight.


You think the Chef Buffs look good? Let me ask this. Do you currently use food to lower HAMs?If so, compare what you have now to the revised version.

Well I like the better selection and mods for Chef Food and haven't seen what kind of stats are possible, once again not being on TC is a problem. And I would expect tweaks before going Live too.


I use sunburn x1 and ryshcate x1 stacked back to back with the occasional fyshak. And I usually have my alt account next to me with /heal ready to help me out too


With the coming HAM changes this all may be mute too.

the only thing i see changing is that buffs will no longer affect our ability to 'spam' specials in order to compensate for our lousy avg. damage. they are just lubrication to get our armor on easier but other than that, there is no point in buffing secondaries.


the other thing i see changing is our ability to stack actionshot1 and actionshot2 (a screwball special that always hits something other than the target you aim at).


no more stacking of as1 and 2 = less avg. damage output.


no more 'spamming' specials even when buffed = less damage output.


since overall relative damage output is one of our major gripes, we are in effect, being nerfed.


and yet, fundamental ham 'costs' listed on carbine weapons (our biggest problem) is staying the same as it always was.



ive been a carbineer since beta and i feel that our profession has been burned too many times to reasonably believe that anything here will benefit us.

those that blindly go with the standard dev line of ham costs are getting lowered anyhow so it doesnt matter do you know the timetable for the ham changes.





It aint prety so you will be screwed for at least 3 months probably more like 6

all of thestat buffingfood is either nerfed hard or removed entirely



This most certainlly will negatively effect carbineers as well as every other combat profession.

I just got novice carbineer on TC...


The new chef foods are great, though I don't often use them for HAM compensation.

It seems that sunburns and fishak have been taken out... BoH's are still in.


Havent tested the bleeds due to a recent patch that prevented any ranged combat at all.

Action shot 2 still needs to be changed to an AoE bleed.
