Anyone else get a "You use scattershot on a XXXX for 1 points of damage" message in the Combat window when using this skill?
It does more than that as I can kill Butterflies etc with one shot as you would expect, but an accurate description would help me judge what I am doing.

It does this for all HAM attacks, but if you're unsure of what the weapon's doing, it's splitting up the damage between the targets HAMs. So, let's say you do 1500 to the target... you'll actually do approximately 500 to each HAM.
I'm pretty sure in my experience each shot tends to favor a specific bar, but it splits it out fairly evenly, and is great for an attack carbineers can use to get at players minds in PvP, or attack any weakened pool for that matter.

i have also heard this can hit a pool twice. ie you do 1500 damage action takes 500 and mind take 500 + 500 = 1000

It hits 2 random pools, ScatterShot2 hits 3 random pools. This can be all in one or spread out in any combination.
