Thread: Question about your stat migrations.
I think quickness is the most important, because that will reduce the HAM costs ![]()
For me....I have around 600 health, 400 strength, 400 constitution, 500 action, 400 quickness, 400 stamina, 900 health, 850 focus, 850 willpower.
I'm still in the marksman carbine levels, so that has been working decently if I'm careful (and I also have medic skills, so I can heal myself in battle
). Eventually, I'm gonna be a doctor so I can buff myself, and I'll put everything into mind. (I have such a high mind now because I've always wondered what it's like to be smart. Now I know, and it's great.).

hey guys. I use carbines with one of my alternates, and i was wondering something. I realized just how much my HAM was being sucked up, and i read a lot about how carbineers almost kill themselves.
My question. What are your stats like? I found out you don't have that bad of a hit if you have your stats in the right order.
you wanna know my stats? Here you go
Health 1000 Sub's 400/400
Action 1000 Sub's 400/400
Mind 1000 Sub's 400/400
I use foods and buffs to offset ham costs.....if you still have some laying around ryshcate is " 'da bomb" but not craftable anymore. Breath of heaven is second best and still craftable (I think) If you can't do that then there is always brandy (200-400 depending on server and chef) to all mind stats for around 30 mins that'll keep your mind up. I've heard of Gamorl which is supposed to help health and Arracagm which is supposed to help action but have yet to see any so I can't report on there effectiveness.
To answer your next question, I set this up and decided to rely solely on foods/buffs because I did some testing with higher substats and found that even with 700 on my drain stat (quickness?) there wasn't much of a difference and I just couldn't justify to myself sacrificing that much from my main damage taking stats just to drain a little bit less. Basically the way carbineer is now you either drain a lot (unbuffed) or not at all (doctor buffed)
Since we're talking about ham drains here's a funny story for you. I was in the hospital one day and a guy came in asking people to tumble for him. I took him outside and started using underhandshot (I know, itsa BH move...shoot me, it's the most draining attack i could find) on all the chubas and nunas. I was wearing composite so my subs were like 28..76...etc...(I know, I'm a true masochist..I've tried squad leader TWICE!!) and using a stocked scoped elite. The floaties over my head were 526!!!! The poor guy's mind couldn't keep up with all the heals, I think he got like 8k medic xp in about 20 or 30minutes or so.
Now that I think about it, I think the costs are based on a scale. Further testing is required...I'll have to get back to youabout that.
I just made novice carbineer and I am also a Master Doc...I've incap'd myself in the past with the HAM costs for the carbines but now with self buffing and brandy...I can spam specials with no effect on my HAM.
For those of you who aren't docs, get a doc buff or stock up on brandy and food that will increase health, stamina and constitution.
I know that Doc takes up so many pts that not a whole lot is left over for other stuff but I'll be able to Master Carbineer while keeping Master Doc, not too shabby!
