Is this the only profession that sits around talking about themselves, or is there a FAQ post, page, site, whatever, to help newcomers to the profession out?

Nice to see the trainer list up top, but still needed are some common questions and tips.

What migration of stats is needed for best performance of the carbineer?

What is the best way to gain xp with carbines, planet, creature, etc...?

Which carbine is the best to use for such grindage?

It is often not a good idea to insult people and then ask for advice.

It was not an insult, it was an observation.

No stat migration can help againt the high HAM of our Specials.

Carbine XP is just like every other fighting profession's XP, kill everything you see.

We have Energy, Heat, and Acid damage Carbines, so choose the right one against your target. The Laser is AP2 and Energy so it used quite frequently.

Well, i'm not exactly new to the professions, but kinda green with the forums, so this is just my short term observation. First that did come off as an insult. Second carbineer kinda moves around under the radar, therefore, there is not a constant influx of new people. As it seems to me,the lesser known/appreciated jobs have people content to enjoy other's company and discuss their abilities and such. They share dreams of what could come and nightmares of what really is

Third I would think that were you to ask more specific questions, you could get them answered. Typically what people want out a of a faq, they don't get. so they ask the general community anyway. In short, these forums are designed for us to talk bout ourselves. They are not intended to be faq's, but can serve as such when queryed. "The purpose of this board is for any discussion about the carbineer profession." i'm sorry if you can't find what you need, but I'm sure some one here could help out.

One must also understand that this class is currently in a period of flux and may stay that way for some time. I am a pretty busy guy with a job, a wife, a house, my normal correspondant issues and the desire to play the game. In essence, I am not sure how much time I want to invest in a FAQ that would need to be changed soon. FWIW,I have pieces of a FAQ written and some are even on the top of the forum.

However, this forum is one of the best in terms of info level to noise (go check out the combat medic or bounty hunter forum to see the difference). If you ask a question that is nota hidden rant/whine you will find many Carbineers willing to step forward and answer the question and do so with enjoyment.

Sounds busy Nova and we sure appreciate your dedication to all of those listed.

BUT, since you didn't list SLEEP, stop being lazy. No sleep for you until the FAQ is done.
