Thread: Looking for Carbineer strategy for hunting krayts

Hi all I am Master Carbineer + 0300 Bounty Hunter on Intrepid and I am thinking of trying to gather componets for better weapons. I have read on this board that the Nym's Droids drop +30 barrels. But, I was also thinking of trying to get some +max damage Krayt tissue ( I know they don't help for PvP but for PvE they would be nice).
Does anyone have any suggestions for Carbineer hunting tacticsof Krayt. Are ther specific shots I should use etc.
Also, what mobs drop carbineer SEA now?

step 3..... kill krayt

on my past krayt hunts the most valuable asset has been a good pet tank... have enough people healing the pet while you all shoot the krayt and everyone should stay alive.

Well here is my strategy. Go Krayt hunting with a master Doc/MHS and a Master Doc/TKM. While they take the damage, you shoot it from 30 to 40m away.
I even knocked it down a few times for them

Sorry to change the subject but where did you get those 30+ dmg barrels? On lok, or the geo caves?

I "played" with an Ancient Krayt back on the 9th......Carbineer hunting Krayts is the funniest thing I have read since then...... UBER JOKE right?
Being the "formula guy" I ran some numbers.....it would take me over 5 hours to kill an Ancient Krayt solo.....YEAH RIGHT.....let me get those 5 hour buffs first.
BTW, I am a MCH and went through 5 uber pets on that Ancient.....

Hey! my Uber Krayt enhanced pistol Last Ditches were doing double digit damage to him too!

OH, those 11's above the Ancients head were yours......mine were the 25's

I am not exactly sure if it is the droids on lok or the geo caves that drop the barrels. But, I have looted a High velocity Feeder before which adds to damage and from what I have read the droids also drop barrels. This weekend I'm planning to killing Nym's goons in mass on Lok - and I'll post the type of equipment I loot.

hey thats what I did!
seriously, no carbineer can expect to kill krayts solo (except for juvies). It just doesn't work that way.
