Thread: EE3 has a disease DOT?

I've been using an EE3 as a grinding carbine with Danteri missions. I've long capped my Carbine XP, but the use of ScatterShot2 on Heat vulnerable Mokks has allowed me to use weaker pets for better xp.

Every so often, I'd get a disease indicator on my target, I use a Mottled Wrix anda Crimson Razor Cat, neither of which have a disease DOT that I am aware of, and I these DOT's would show up.

Monday evening, I got a personal challenge from an Imperial TKM who rolled into my guild's player city while I was selecting missions. I unloaded a few ScatterShots from the EE3 and he asked me where I looted it from after he retreated on his swoop bike. I was kinda confused, because its a player crafted, base krayt tissue, unstocked and unscoped PvE carbine with no real application in PvP that I ever considered and told him this. He told me he had a pretty rough disease DOT from my shots and thought it might have been a looted weapon.

I've been out sick the last couple days, but this was definitely one I wanted to put to the Carbineer boards, because this is an unusual effect and I want to know if I've either got a bugged weapon or a kick ass new capability.

Yea it is the wrix. For some reason, the devs gave many of the creatures on corellia diseases. I find this a bit unfair since so many on the planet that are hunting are new players. Ah well...

I had never used mottled wrixes before my latest run through CH. Back when, the old rule was the only good wrix was a grand wrix.

The disease is nice, but the post Pub 5 nerfs on these cats are just ugly.

I only use BE Pets now so the "skin" doesn't matter.....my Carrion Spat is level 52 and will hit you for 500, along with his 10k HAM....don't mess with my mount

ROFL...

Skin actually matters some. It seems the skin controls the pets speed. Gurrecks have incredible speed and terrain negotiation. They can keep up with a speeder if you stop every minute or so for a few seconds. They also have the killer advantage that when they get low, they panic and run. Since they are the fastest thing out there, they quickly escape from the dangerous situation. When I was CH I had a level 65 gurreck that was just amazing. I could throw it at anything and it never died. It is in its 3rd masters hands and still at 100 vitality.

Nah, I'll stick with my speeder, I have this CL 68 gurreck sitting in my datapad waiting for me at Master.

Light armored, 11500 (average) HAM, 550-650 damage, and I believe its a Strong Poison attack 2

I forgot about the SPEED thing for pets, but all mine are cats and keep up with my Speeder just fine.....all I do is hit SHIFT every once in awhile so they don't get past 100m.

Roren, hope you got BE clothes or are a Wookie to call a Level 68 pet

That food works too, I have some.

I picked up a pair of pants +17 taming wild /+17 taming vicious, and a duster with the same bonuses. I know that totals above the real max, but it also means I don't lose everything if I unequip one.

I already have a baby bull rancor hunt arranged for when I master.
