You want speed, more speed and some accurcy. Level the speed tree abut, then some accurcy, then finalize speed and end with the last of the accurcy tree.

You want to use a speed sliced Laser Carbine as you "grind weapon". Use speed sliced gunsup to Speed IV then you can switch to a damage sliced weapon. Speed will give you better Damage Per Second which is good.

Always keep an EE3 and DXR-6 as backup guns for those pesky high energy resist mobs.

Some say use the Elite carbine but I think the Laser is better due to Medium AP.

Get a 70% kineticUbesearmor, some buffs and you can grind away pretty quick. Good luck.

HAHA, another one to join the ranks of the carbs !!

What I did when starting carbs was tear my hair out as the profession wasnt as good back then as it is now, but I went for the action shots and the crippling shot. I found that in 90% of the cases when getting the xp to master it I could stop the target by a posture change and then hit em with cripple. You are going to get attacked obviously as you do when starting any profession, but that is when the carbineer's true gift arises, /burstrun.......

In the case of what carb is better to use, thats like asking what toppings is best on a pizza....it depends on what will work for you.. If the animal is 60% resistant to acid dont use the dxr6 or slugthrower...... I started by getting the slugthrower from the quest, but you could use that before novice carbineer and then they changed it, get yourself a slug and a laser carb, but go for speed rather than dmg when starting out......

My suggestion get crippling shot, and you will feel the true power of the carb side !!

Good Luck
