Thread: Dropping Pistoleer for some more Carbineer, any suggestions?

As of a few minutes ago I was MBH Carbineer 0300 Pistoleer 0020, but I've lost interest in PvP till the rebalance and the pistoleer part of my combo is kinda useless to me in PvE. I'm having trouble deciding on what lines to take.. My initial thought was 0304 (I have +25 accuracy attachement so I'm at 180 with that) and for the AoE dizzys, stuns and KDs. Or I could go 0430 for even more insane accuracy and burstshot2 which doesn't apply states but is more damaging. Any thoughts?

BurstShot2 and FullAutoArea1/2 are a must in PvE if you have a tank, otherwise they just aggro too much to you at once. Unlike Pistoleer we need to keep our distance more like a Rifleman when attacking critters.
I would sacrifice the Accuracy since you have so much to pick these up......but if you don't have a tank then maybe not.....tough call.

Ugh, I'm starting to think about going Mcarbine/ 3400 BH again. I wont be losinga hell of a lot of invest XP, and I'll still be able to do jedi missions to get invest back up if I change my mind.

your a BH, get Scatter Shot or Cripple, you can use them shots with a cap and in pve I personnally think they are the most effective.

That is a tough call. I think you have definately narrowed it down to the best 2 choices. I think I'd choose MBH and 0430 Carbineer as I usually don't have a tank (though I here those new 4k HAM combat droids hold thier own pretty well, I'll have to try that out). Maybe I can enlighten you on the pros and cons I see for each.
MBH, 0304 Carb
Pros: AoE KD, Accuracy while moving, abbiltiy to apply AoE states, crippling shot. Good for multiple humanoid targets, since you can possibly KD/Dizzy many at once.
Cons: As TA stated, our AoE shots are a bit dangerous to use without either a tank, or the ability to fall back on a melee profession if the **edit** hits the fan. Remember, the defenses for carbineers (as well as BHs) are not all that great. If targets start closing the gap on you, you're in for a rough time.
MBH, 0430 Carb
Pros: Ranged Mitigation 2, some defenses, burst shots 1 & 2, tons of accuracy. All the moves you really need to go 1v1. BH supplies your KD, so you don't need charge shot (plus, I'm not sure what other differences are, but I know you can use Fire KD from any stance, and CS needs to be fired from a standing position, making Fire KD a little better than CS in my book)
Cons: No AoE KD or states, less accuracy while moving.
