They "fixed" savage quenkers so they aren't any better than anything else. Just like any combat prof, kill everything that moves.

And read the FAQ.....

Best way is to hunt rancors with a rising melee class, like a novice swordsman or tka in good composite. Pretty good xp, good loot and money, but not as good xp. It was fun though .

Just my 2 creds

I'm not quite a master yet, but I've been working on this blasted profession forever. LoL!

Make sure you have novice medic so you can use stim B's. Get some good compo armor, and vasarian brandy with at least the 380 stats and use two shots of that. Then get buffed. Usually find Ravenous Torts. If your careful and don't aggro like three or more, you can solo them fairly easily as you move up. In fact I still hunt them, since they bring almost 5k XP. Sometimes if your in a guild get masters to group so you can pull them as missions and you'll get 10k a mission. Nice! Also, once you get burstshot2 and some boxes with accuracy and speed and go the hyperdrive research on Rori. It's in your POI tab. Of course this only works if your imperial or rebel and it's the opposite, though I think Naboo has something similar. If you take someone with you, it's usually a cake walk. I have to take a break ever now and then because you can aggro about 20 people at a time. This gets you anywhere from 1k to 4k xp plus the faction points gain and any cash or other loot you pick up.

My recomendation for Carbineer all around now that I've mastered out here's what I would have done differently from the get go. When I orginally leveled up I was going 1 1 1 1, 2 2 2 2 so forth. First off go for Burst Shot and Crippleing Shot from the get go and upon getting them buff the entire time and then run to Endor with plenty of Brandy. Hunt the highest level of creatures you can possibly get and slaughter them along with anything that gets in your way. As of me reaching 3 3 3 3 I have NO problem soloing on Endor since that's about the time I started.. ::grumbles about not starting earlier::

Oh and also group with people and hunt solo when possible while in that group.I had alot of success grouping with people in my Player City and was pulling missions over 100 difficulty easy. Get as stated the above the highest difficulty missions you can and then unleash your carbine fury

NO NO NO NO, please do NOT go for CripplingShot. This is NOT the best DPS shot unless you have BH or SEA's. In fact BurstShot1 is only recommended if you are NOT buffed.

But I will agree that leveling straight across as you did is wrong as well. This info is covered in the FAQ, please go read that. A lot of us contributing around here has leveled Carbineer more than once and have a pretty good idea of the proper boxes to get

Trust me, the most XP per hour is by getting a tank and using our Cone Effect Specials, BurstShot2 or FullAutoArea2. The only problem with getting those from the start is your Speed and Accuracy are too low to use them effectively. So most people should stick with FullAutoSingle2 and the progression listed in the FAQ.

I hunted Rav Tortons on Rori the first time up Carbineer and now I am doing Rancors and Enraged Rancors the second time....

As you can see by all the varied creatures used to level, just kill whatever moves that won't kill you
