Carbineer Archive
Thread: I need some reasons
if you are a TKA I would suggest taking Carbineer to Chargeshot1 and NO FURTHER.I can't possibly see how it would be worth it to you to try to master it. You can chargeshot1 them, then equip your vibro-knuckles as you charge in and horribly, horribly maim them.
Quite frankly If you try to be a master carbineer/master TKA you will find that if you fight for half the fight with Carbine and half with TKA you will screw yourself for HAM... The Carbine takes an insane amount of HAM to use, and by the time you get to melee range you will have yourself half-killed.
Honstly though, with a CDEF Carbine and Chargeshot1 and some VK's you should do pretty good... I'd throw some medic in on the side if I were you though.

Im already a master TKA and have been working up the Carbineer tree, however im not overly satisfied with the Carbineer tree. I have put effort into what i have so far, 1-2-0-2, and I really dont want to crap it allaway without reason. I really want to know everyones opinions on the class are and possibly why i should stay with Carbineer. Is it really worth it? Thanks.
right now, i'd say stick with it if you like it in spite of all the problems (like me!). in reality though, with the insane HAM costs of the VK, and the high HAM costs of carbines...you'd do better going smuggler if you have the skill points. you've already got the unarmed (duh!), and if you replace carbineer with smuggler that should equal out the skill points. you end up with a ranged kd (dirty fighting 3) with ham cost that's more that 25% less than a carbineers (which is, itself, 25% less than an unarmed TKA...i've heard). oh yeah, and it does a lot more damage, too.
i like the carbine, i think because i'm a glutton for pain...but unless you really like it, i wouldn't recomend it for you (esp. since you're TKA already.../shudder at the ham costs i've seen for you guys with the VK)
