Just wondering what it is.

With the low minimum damage, and medium HAM costs I find that I'm getting killed more frequently with my laser carbine than I was with a pistol(scout) or rifle(dlt20a).

are they any carbines that do anything close to 30-40 damage a second with low (not higher than 30) HAM costs?

You might be able to find one of the new DH17 snub nose carbines without a stock that will work for you. Typically they have around 20-30 ham cost and 120-180 max damage with under 3 speed.

DH17 Snubs or Elite Carbines (if you are at least Novice Carbineer). They both have incredibly low HAM costs and you can get them sliced and make them higher in damage or lower in speed.
