I used to open with action 1 followed by regular attacks and full auto single with tougher creatures. I even used action shot 2 before the patch. Now it seems that even action shot 1 hits multiple targets and I spend a lot of time on my back watching the 90 second ticker count down. I tried health shot 1 with my pistol to see what would happen; same result.... incap. I know... go after weaker creatures. That gets tedious after a while and I used to like the challengethat soloing a yellow would present. Now I get incapped when I open with an action shot on blues that are in a group.

If anyone would be kind enough to share their strategy I would appreciate it!

Well after serching, like I was suggested to do... I found many people like the following combinations.

1) AS1,AS2,AS1,Leg shot, etc....

2)AS1, leg shot, AS1, etc...

2)AS1, AS2, KD,LS,KD, etc....

4)KD,KD, KD,......while others do the killing

or other types of specials following the lead special of AS1 or AS2. So back to the core of my question. Since AS1 and AS2 both hit multiple targets and KD has/will have a timer (don't have a KD), can anyone share their teqniques for pulling single creatures from a pack?

Thanks to anyone who decides to help

3 ways of pulling singles that I've used when they assist. One note for all the tactics though, always hit peace right after you aggro something, because shooting at something that has assisting mobs in aggro range makes them assist, just having a mob aggro on you doesnt trigger the assist even if they run right on top of another social mob. It can happen alot by accident since autoattack goes on automatically when something shoots at you, need to be fast to hit peace before that happens.

1. Line of sight, requires certain type of objects (large enough to block the line of sight) in the area. Rocks, trees, the lair of the creatures, stuff like thatwork. If a mob doesnt have line of sight to you, it wont aggro even if you shoot at a friend right next to it. So position yourself so that there's something in between you and the "extras" while you can see one mob, then fire a shot and back off

2. Inching up to them, only works on aggressive mobs. Basically just inch up to the closest mob till you're just inside the aggro range of it, how long the range is varies by mob. Soon as it aggros, back off. Specially important with this one to make sure you manage to hit peace before your autoattack goes on and you fire something at it, cause then you'll have the entire camp on you.

3. Shooting from out of range, this only works to lose one mob from the group. It's theeasiest one to use though, you basically just pick a mob, make sure you're out of range of it so you cant shoot it, then you hit autoattack on. You dont actually shoot at anything since you're out of range, but it'll trigger the assist of everything that's in assist range of the target, but the mob itself wont move. Then you just back off.

Can always combine these as well depending on the situation, and unequipping your weapon should work for the out of range aggroing thing if you cant get far enough.
