Still looking at moving to Carbineer and I imagine I'll do it this weekend but since it means dropping a LOT of hard work in the BH profession I want to make sure I am making an informed decision. So I have another question...


Carbineer special moves seem to all be pointed towards the Action pool, is this a correct assumption on my part? And if it is, once you shoot something with a special move like Actionshot, how do you keep hitting the Action pool with regular shots?

I know it probably sounds ignorant but as a BH I've typically always used Pistol shots to bleed the mob and only used carbine to knock them down and prevent the mob from getting a hit in on me so I've never paid much attention to taking down any pools other than the Health pool.

DON'T DO IT!!! Stay a bounty hunter. You are better with your carbine that way!

The only way to continue to hit the action pool is with the various Legshots (must spam) or random chance. Seriously, if you've got time invested in bounty hunter, leave it. Most of our "Best" specials are broken and there is no telling if / when they will be fixed. Our HAM costs for our special moves do more damage to us than to our targets, and unless we get lucky head shots, all of our damage in PvP is easily healed by novice medics with decent stims.

leg shot is retarded, i never use it.

action shot, on the other hand, i use almost every battle....for the posture-change and bleeds. just send one in every 10 seconds or so, or when they start charging you down, so you can get out of the way and keep shooting them normally. 75% of my targets die from health damage. 24% from action. i die 1% of the time (lol, just joking...i'm not sure how often i die, really, but i think in the entire game, and my entire2 million weapons experience...pistol/carbine/unarmed/1-hand swords i've...i've had 2 kills from mind. much more when i used the rifle, of course)

charge-shot 1 is really really lame too....i would pay SOE an extra $5 per month to be able to use underhand shot (assuming it still has its kd abilities) without the damage multiplier as a carbineer w/o being a bh. if you think, in any way/shape/form that the carbineer kd will replace underhand shot, THINK AGAIN! i thought the same thing, but didn't have enough skill points to test it out or i would have been a bh for at least another day.
