If I spec in Bounty Hunter Carbine and get the extra +carbine accuracy from it, and then also spec in Carbineerer Accuracy, are there any benefits?

Or is there a hidden cap that limits you to the amount of accuracy you can have?

Well the to-hit modifier next to the mob maxes out at +50 so I'm assumingthat at a certain point in CarbineAccuracy you max out at +50 no matter what the range is.

I think I undersatnd what you are saying

With BH carbine 4 I am 110 accuracy, master marksman +60, BH +50

So if the to-hit modifier is -50 then the accuracy is +50 (-50 + 110 -cap)

So therefore there is no point in skilling in the carbineer accuracy tree unless you want the special moves in it.

Wish a developer can confirm this.

I was banking on the fact that if you spent that much time to max Carb acc and BH Carb accuracy then you took the time to be extreamly accurate. You sacrifice a lot of functionality to do so and your special moves are limited but the pay off is a better to hit ratio overall. If the math works out this is ideally what would happen.

Same situation for Pistols/Pistoleer and BH pistols.

I beleve that is part of the strength of the skill trees. You can diversify for lots of stuff to be functional on many levels but not as effective in one or supreamly accurate at a cost to functionality.

I was under the impression that this was by design.
