What's up all , been playing fer a while now .

Dumped my Rifleman / EyeShot combo because it was hogging my skill points .

I've decided to give Carbines a try .. can any vets give me the scoop on this skill .. I already know about the special moves ( what they're supposed to do and what they actually do ) so I guess what I'm looking for is some practical advice ... like what gun to use , what kind of damage to expect , any tactics or things you think compliment this profession well .

Let's put it this way ... if someone asked me for some Rifleman advice ... I could talk for 3 hours . That's what I'm looking for , the skinny from you vets that know . Anything would help

Thanks in advance

Jon

PS I'm working a Laser Carbine ( that I hate ) right now , and another E11I think . Both of them are pretty sucky , I got my eyes on that one that fires Acid , if it's anything like the Scatter Pistol it will kick ass . I'm using a basic Action Shot , Leg Shot II combo at this point , doesn't seem much strategy involved . What do you guys think I should level first ?

when you get more shots opened to you you'll have alot more to work with. right now i am a BH/carbineer hybrid but i am dropping BH skills etc.

personally, if your bank permits, get a very good make of every high end carbine, EE3, elite, laser, dxr6

why? cuz theres a right carbine for every situation. as a BH i use about 3 different carbines right now. my main is an EE3 which is fast, has high base dmg and does heat dmg, no ar piercing. when i hit armored targets i whip out my laser carbine to cut right thru. dxr6 does acid dmg and will be good vs anything on resistant to acid. i dont own an elite but supposedly its good for just general hunts etc. and if you use alot of KD's bring a cdef for low HAM costs

i'd suggest an uber laser, uber dxr6, and a good ee3. laser for medium/heavy armored targets or low-energy/high-heat, high acid resists. ee3 for high energy/acid, low/vulnerable to heat. and dxr6 for most others. my dxr6 is 100-180, speed 3.7 (sliced..not sure which got the boosts now though), acid damage, light armor pierce. new laser is 64-334, speed 4.0 (sliced for damage), energy damage, medium armor pierce. ee3 is 80-180, speed 2.7 ( i think...i hardly ever use it, and it was sliced too, but forget for it too), heat damage, no armor pierce.

on unarmored targets with vulnerability to energy and acid, my dxr6 tends to have a higher dps on average. on light armored targets without vulnerability to energy and acid (10% resist to both), laser and dxr6 come out about the same. on medium/heavy armor the laser wins hands down every time if acid has even a 5% resist and energy 30%. pick and choose your carbine based on your target, and try to know your target before you get to it.
