Thread: If legshot3 is utterly useless....
I am new ot carbineer, but from what I ahve gathered in my reading, it seems to be an agreed upon thing that legdshot3 sucks.
Having no experience with the others or knowing anyone in game that has chosen this path, can I get some input from some of y'all who play and love carbine? I am a master DE/Master Artisan/Merchant right now, but am gonna drop some merchant and maybe some artisan for more combat, so I can enjoy PvP more.
Any tid bits or insight from those who walked this path before me are gretly appreciated.
To enjoy pvp, first forget about any dabbling in carbineer. Master it or do not aster it. There is dabbling. During your road to mastery, pickup BH carbine 4 also. If not, you must pickup master doc, or master chef, or have some friends that will buff you ever single time before a fight. If not, you will simply kill yourself before your foe does.
Yes, LegShot3 is busted.
Got the buffs thing down, that isnt the issue, I got those two covered.
Mstering Carbine isnt an option for me at this point. Wether i should take Assutl Tactics or Coutnerinsurgency is the question.
Ifound the Legshot specials pretty much worthless once you have Chargeshot1, Fullauto, and Cripple Shot. Unless your target is really low on the Action pool, I don't use any Legshot commands.
BTW, has anyone noticed that the posture change with Actionshot1 seems to be more reliable now? I can hit it 50% of the time, compared to 10% of the time about a month ago.
If you want to get into some pvp but master carbineer is not possible then take as much as the assault line as you can. the speed mods are more important than any special you might get. dont worry about the marksman line until the speed tree is filled. legshot3 is exactly the same as legshot2 only it has slightly higher ham cost.
for pvp you will not only find the extra speed useful, you will find scattershot2 very useful as it does high damage vs 2 or 3 (random) ham pools. it also does almost as much damage as crippleshot but costs less ham and is much faster.
one thing you really want if your going to pvp and i cant emphasize it enough is chargeshot1. knockdown with no timer. when you get it, practice using it on mobs until you get its speed and timing down and with a fast dh17 snubnose you can keep an enemy pretty much on his back (at the expense of very low damage of course but thats another problem..)
anyway, best pvp (and probably pve) template for a dabbler is without a doubt 4-0-0-2.
if the skill points are prohibitive for that spec then do 3-0-0-2 (youll get SS2 still at the expense of +10 speed)
How many times it has to be said I don't know. But:
Legshot2 and legshot3 are identical in damage, refresh, and ham cost, ie they're the same.

Excellent info. That is exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you.
