Thread: What shot would you say has the best odds to hit mind?

I know about our leg shots and our class is sorta focusing on action attacks. But as we all know for pvp the mind is all that maters because everyone is buffed. Sowich shot do you think has best chance to hit mind for good damage? Im thinking its either cripple or scatter shot 2. I have ben using cripple most of the time but that tends to favor health and almost never hits mind. With scatter i could hit the mind for a little a lot with the chance to get 2-3 hits on mind. Now would you think you would get more damage to mind using cripple with the chance to do high damage to mind every so often or use scatter for a more consistant shot to mind? Or am i using the wrong specials all together?

Until someone actually proves otherwise with data collection...none.
It would seem all random pool shots are 55% health, 35% action and 10% mind.
That being said, the scattershots are multiple shots so they "roll" several times to see what they hit. They don't seem to have a better chance to hit mind, but since this shot is "rolling" more often, the odds you get a mind hit increase because your number of hits have gone up. Unfortunately, if you do get a mind it, it is going to be 1/3 damage of the total damage.

actually with my lasor carbine, Krayt, Damage Sliced with a powerup ( only use this for pvp ) i have no problems at all taking out ppl who are buffed with crippling shot, so you might want to look into that.
as far as mind, i dont try to hit it, unless their mind pool is almost empty then i will switch to scatter shot 2

Yeah that's a good strategy as a fencer/rogue I opt for the dizzy posture change over the dizzy kd as most have lower defenses to posture changes.

you answered your own question really. scattershot2 has the highest chance of hitting mind and even if it spreads its damage out among 2-3 pools, its better to have a decent chance tohit mind for moderate damage than it is use crippleshot and pray for a mind hit and 1 shot kill. if you want that, be a rifleman.
scattershot2 is used pvp by people who know what they're doing, crippleshot is used by people who like to get a 1 shot kill 10% of the time so they can brag about it and forget to mention that they got their clocks cleaned the other 90% of the time.

Get a carbine with an action DOT, you can take out buffed TKMs unbuffed.
I opened up with two confusion shots and suppressionfire2 (I have a macro for it) and the TKM hit the dirt. Then I stacked my bleeds (actionshot 1 and 2 (they won't stack after the patch though)) and state effects (fullautosingle2 twice for stun and blind) and switched to my 260 potency EE3 action DOT. By the time the TKM was getting back up, I had switched back to my DH17short and was spamming leg 2. The TKM actually ran AWAY from me to live.
All I used was a hit of BoH, +521 drain. The TKM lived, but had to run away from me. I used my burst run at the begining so I couldn't chase. I don't know if he incaped or ended up living, but he only had like 200 action pool left from her buff.
I used suppression fire 2 because ifsomeoneis dizzy, and get posture downed, it's a KD. I used that because they have less defense against posture change then they do defense against KD.
