We all know ham is broken on carbines but I keep hearing people talk about powering up their weapon to lower HAM costs. How do you accualy do this. Are there some weapons powerups that acctually help you more then like 1.5%, and if so why can't I find any. I've got a fairly good laser carbine but it eats up 45 action so I get a lot of down time.I'm on Eclipse so if anyone can make me one of these power ups that would be great.

A well made power-up can reduce one HAM cost by +33%, and another one (or something else, like maximum damage), by 15%.

Well, when i wear armouri'm buffed(cant use one without buff), but my mind is low, so i changed my mind stats to 1100 in mind including secondaries. now all my other stats are 400. i'm planning on doing doc, but for now without a buff everything can kill me. are those good stats? anyways i'm a master tka and a i got a 77% kinetic armour.

If your planning on going Doctor most TKM/Doctors I know have there Health and Action + secondaries in those attributes at the base value, all Mind stats are maxed. But ya if your not a master doctor or high enough to buff yourself then your probaly goin to die alot even in high kinetic armor with only 400 Health and Action.

How come some Player's HAM is so much higher than others without buff? For example My Health is very high, but my Action and Mind are low. I have a friend that just started playing and she has a very high HAM. Her Action and Mind are alot higher than mine. We are both Human. I'm a Master Marksman and Master Scout (Male) and she is a Novice Scout (Female). What's the deal. Is there a way to increase my Action and Mind permanent without using buff? Hopefuly i'm making sence. Thanks.

Press CTRL + C and then use Stat Migration.

(I wish people just read the manual)

He's a complete newb though. You get 5 stupid questions after that feel free to ridicule in my opinion. Of course some questions you have to ask have already been answered many times. Rather then make a fool of yourself or waste time waiting you should look around and try to answer it yourself. Either from searching the forum, using the in game holocron, or the guide that came with.

Like the guy stated before me, use the character information sheet, there is a stat adjustment area there. Be aware though that stat changes are not instantanious after you leave the new player area. Also, the secondary stats are just as important as the primary. These control how much you use in your life bars for actions, how fast you regenerate from losses, and your secondaries actually have to be above a certain point in order to do full sets of armor.

The root of your question answered:

Everybody has (race aside) the same HAM points. The way you allocate those points is called Stat Migration. It takes a very long time (days) for the changes to fully take effect, but you can have your stats however you want. You have the change to migrate your stats at character creation, but I admit to forgetting to also. The default stat migration you are given is based on your starting profession.

buddy i don't know which manual you got with the game, but my manual does not show me how to change it. I have checked the migration tool but was not sure how it worked.

Most gumps do offer help menus in the top right. And there is always the holocron, hit Control-H.
