Thread: The only people who call for chargeshot nerf...

are the ones who just got slaughtered by a carbineer due to bad tactics. TKM/Doc in my guild got his ass kicked by one, and is way pissed now, lmao.

My single best defense against another carbineer spamming chargeshot is to spam crippling right back. Since i can shoot while KDd from chargeshot, they die in 3 hits.

Chargeshot is not the end-all own-all for PvP. Get it in yer heads, nerf whiners.

Im suprised you can land 3 shots with all the PvP defense stacking templates. Maybe its only on Tarquinas that 80% of the people that PvP have this sort of template. Im lucky if i land 3 shots total after cloning 3 times

What should non-uberdefensetemplate melee classes do though? (Besides lose everytime).


I haven't had too many problems with chargeshot personally, but any move that makes it impossible to fight back or run away thorughout the entire battle is a bad idea. Its KD/Dizzy with a dfferent name....

What happens when they hit you with confusion shot and then chargeshot1 which CANNOT be resisted, even when I do get lucky on the /stand they just hit with chargeshot1 again and Im back on the ground. How is that not overpowered? Either you need to be able to resist chargeshot1 or it needs to be on atimer like every other KD out there.

if it gets its re-use time nerfed it definately needs to last longer and then people would justcomplain about that instead.

I just don't understand the whole PVP thing. Do you get something out of it? Does it feel good to pwn someone or something? I only PVP in the GCW, and due to all the "templates" I'm getting sick of that too.


Templates have been around since Pac Man and it makes me sick. All the l33t d00dz run as fast as they can to them. I remember some crappy "mech warrior" type game like 15 years ago, and as soon as people found out which mech was the "best" it was the only mech you ever saw in game.


Don't people want to be original anymore? Or are you d00dz just a bunch of l33t Eminem Clones.

You hit the nail on the head there Arias. You only get 1 true KD from this special (no failure message, they KD for 5 seconds, you get the 50% damage bonus). The rest are KD-lite. I believe it to be a graphical error:you do not get the 50% damage bonus, the duration is 1 second tops and the target can still fire/hit back.


Remember that people just want to be invincible. They will whine like babies about anyone or anything that kills them.Flame throwers, eyeshot, combat medics, etc. The same people complaining about Carbineers probably make fun of Carbineers for being too weak/high HAM/broken specialsin other posts.

The funny thing is people complain about chargeshot yet you can still shoot back. I have no Carbine skills at all (though I am thinking of picking it up after the holo grind) and would just like to point out that if you lose to a Carbineer using Carbineer only shots you either have an uber melee character which allows you to whup TKM etc and never get KD/Dizzy or you need to think about developing your character more.



When you get beat in a duel or PvP and it's one on one, find out what the other guy is and used. If you keep getting beat by the same thing adjust your template.



There isn't one template in game that can beat all others as long as both players are competent - lol though there are lots that can beat templates that include Master Carbineer.

Sorry, have to say this:


PvP is FINE, if that's your thing. But I rarely PvP.


What I hate is all the nerfs that go on for "balance" reasons, which are ALL for the sake of the 30% of ppl that PvP!


It KILLS me that players want a TKM to be able to beat a Carbineer or BH or whatever. "Realistically" all else being equal the guy with the gun beats the guy without the gun. A martial artist should only be able to beat a guy with a gun by sneaking up on him/ catching him by surprise. Or holding his family hostage, etc. (lol).


If you want to compete better in pvp, get skills that are more useful in PvP. "But I want my chef to be able to beat your MCH...." Too bad. become something else.

About the kd problem, i have no problem beating people considering that i ALWAYS dizzy BEFORE i kd then they are stuck dead on the ground while u shoot them. And by the way you DO get the 50% bonus when dizzied and on the ground. And either way chargeshot1 them first then use dizzzy they will stay lay on the ground! When i use chargeshot they guy never shoots back while hes on the ground...it intterupts his/her attack moves which slows them down long enough to one shot with crippling shot or dizzy them.


This is my basic combat strategy in pvp with a carbine.


I start with giving them an unexpected chargeshot1 which catches them off gaurd and gives me time to let out another attack. Usually I take this time to give them a confusion shot in BH to dizzy them. They lie on the ground while I next use crippling shot once or twice which most likely incapps them rather fast unless they are wearing some good armor. If they last more than 5 hits of crippling shot i might give them a wildshot if not already stunned from my confusion shot. Afterwards Knowing that when they get up i will be vulnerable to attack since HAM costs are so high with carbines, I make sure i incapp them soon with either burst shot or more crippling shots. If by some chance their mind is rather low i would most likely use scatter shot since that is the carbineer attack that is mostly likely to damage the mind pool while still doing decent damage to the other pools. But most dont make it this far after being kd'ed and crushed by 2 crippling shots most are long dead by now. But its always good to plan ahead!

What? you're surprised that the people calling for a nerf are the melee classes that can't even move or do ONE **edit** thing while you spam your broken special at them? lol


I firmly believe ranged should have an advantage of melee. Don't bring a knife to a gunfight, right? That doesn't mean you should just be able to spam a special at them and laugh because the animation is broken. Its just retarded

I don't believe that one melee class should be able to use a special that keeps you on the ground the entire fight as well. Since not everyone is an uber PvP template with massive KD/Dizzy defense, i can't do jack **edit** when a TKA uses unarmed KD2 on me and i fall over. Fight is basically done after that. At least with chargeshot the person has a chance to fight back.

There is nothing in this game that cannot be beaten. I fought a pistoleer/fencer templated imp the other day, melee duel (me using pikes him using whatever fencers use) and i almost won. Thats right. he was 50 mind away from dieing, and we were both mind boosted (him from muon me from fishak). with freaken dev-forsaken PIKES. against an UBER PVP TEMPLATE. There is NOTHING in this game that is undefeatable.

Myself, i've never actually whined about any other template/move in teh game. If TKAs can KD/dizzy in 1 hit, thats fine with me. If commandos can light me up for massive wounds/damage, thats fine with me. If BHs can spam eyeshot, thats fine with me (i beat eyeshot spamming BHs 80% of the time anyways). If combat medics can waste my mind in 10 seconds, thats fine with me (as long as they can only do it from 64m, not the BS 84m they do now).

Carbineer does not need to be nerfed because some losers got owned by chargeshot once or twice. They are just pissed because they finally got killed, and by a mostly broken class to boot. Does that warrant nerfing? not at all. Is nerf cried everytime some 12 year old gets owned by a better PvPer? probably, but does that mean something needs to be nerfed? no. End of story.
