I'm looking for your opinions and explanations from fellow carbineers that post here. You can post the numbers that you have for speed if you want as well. The question is:
How much total speed do you feel a carbineer should or would like to have to be the most effective with a carbine?
You can explain if you choose to use the ranged fs line, skill tapes, other professions, etc. This is not a post to argue on what profession combo or what shots are the best to kill jedi, other templates, etc. This is just a post for fellow carbineers to share their insight and discussions. Please keep any flames to yourself.
I am newer to the Carbine line but I have been a Pistoleer and Rifleman for quite some time previous to becoming a Carbineer. Sad to say I was not a Carbineer pre-CU, but I was a Pistoleer and Rifleman pre-CU. I must say that Carbines are an extreme amount of fun and I wish I had followed this profession earlier than I did. Ok enough about me. Thanks in advance for any input you all give.

I went from just under +100 to +110 I think now.....didn't notice much change.
I have always held to +100 to +125 is the effective cap for all profs because of the Cooldown TImers......but now we are starting to see evidence that the General Mods are not working so that may change.
So ultimately SOE has some core/basic code that is broken from what I have heard, not tested myself, so a final answer here is not possible.....for right now I am more than happy with +110 Carbine Speed ![]()

Thanks TAfirehawk for the info. you don't happen to know if they ever fixed the ranged speed line in fs stuff to actually work do you? Before the melee only worked.
It works now.....at least it changes properly on the Weapon Examine Window.....the rumor is that all General Mods aren't working right but that is a different issue than this FS line.

Moment... you mean, +general ranged speed and +general ranged accuracy are supposedly broken?
Wish we still had respec, then testing that would be easy, the BH profession is the perfect test-setup for that.

Currently my +25 carbine speed isn't working either. None of my speed mods affect my modified speed of weapon nor do they affect the modified dps. Current as of today july 20th 2005
