Make sure ure still not using CDEF. I'm not sure if artisans on your server can make those yet, but DH17s (regular and Snub) are carbineer's best friend. Laser Carbine is just good for real tough mobs, as the DH17s seem not to be able to penetrate the armor that well.

I'd say, do destory missions. That has helped me a lot. It takes away some of the grinding, and you end up fighting a lot strongest creatures. It took me just a few days to get to expert, but I think it's going to take about a week to get to specialist.

Hello everyone, I am new to the game, and decided to take up Carabineer.

Well I am an Expert Carabineer, trying to get up to Carbine Specialist. I found that going from Advance Carbine to Expert was 6K xp. but going from Expert to Specialist is 70 xp. What a jump. I been only killing things around town which are worth 65-90 xp, at this rate its going to take forever. Am I doing something wrong, what should I be doing to get better xp. I find killing anything harder isn't get much more xp but taking on more damage which means more down time.

I been killing diesed Nuna, and flesh eating chuba, etc. mobs outside of Moenia on Naboo.

Please let know on any good tips.

Killing pests around town obviously will not make you a great warrior.

Head out into the wilderness and hunt things that are White or Yellow cons.

What I've found to be the best way to level up without any down time is to go after Squalls. Since they are slow creatures, you can kite them all day long without taking a hit from them. You will get about 320XP for males and 300 for females.

The best tactic I use now (I'm a Carbine Specialist) is to use Action Shot 1 about ever other shot. This stops them in their tracks and drains their action pool and eventually kills them. Make sure you are prone when doing this, you get more shots off. The reason I do every other shot an Action Shot 1 is so I can regenerate my action pool as I go so I don't have any downtime.

Since you are an Expert Carbine, I would suggest kiting them and use FullAuto 1. This will drain your action pool and you will have some downtime, but you should be able to take down at least 2 of them before you have to rest. A bonus to this is if you're a scout, you will have some time to get some survival XP while camping.

On the subject of CDEF or DH17. I still use a CDEF. Only for the reason that the only DH17 Carbines I've found drain your health/action pool SO fast, they just aren't worth it. While you can surely kill your prey faster with a DH17, you will be spending more downtime regenerating your health/action pools...time that could be spent leveling. There are plenty of great CDEF Carbines out there right now. I bought one from a weaponsmith on Rori that has max damage of 70 with 3.7 second between shots. If you're on the Bria server, come to Rori and look him up, his name is Simon Ready (usually in the city of Narmle).

Hope this helps!

Also, don't just go out looking for Squalls. Select destroy missions on Squall nests...then you get 1000+ credits too for each nest you take out.

I agree that you should keep your CDEF options open for the reasons mentioned. I have one that is 31-64, and has 3.2 attack speed. When I'm prone seems like I don't stop shooting!

- I support Bon's (CommTampers) solutions for balancing the loot tables in space. You can too!

I am a new jedi This might sound silly but I see I have enough points to lv . I go to the trainer and he tells me that he has nothing to train me.Do I have to train in other skills like scout to reach up to a lvl in prowness or lightsaber?

well dunno for sure. Did you talk to your personal trainer? Usually u can talk to every trainer to lvlup, just not any other trainer on the planet your personal trainer is on. On that planet only your personal trainer can help you out (/findmytrainer if i remember that right).

I was wondering if any of you guys could give me some leveling tips for carbineer? I usually solo, so do you happen to know of some ideal locations for leveling up? I've been hunting Imperials, but that seems to be taking awhile... So, any hints or locations would be very much appreciated.
