Hmm, any particular reason I got a one star? Might not be a trade board but for a carbineer the items are very nice and not everyone peruses the trade boards enough so thought ithelpful to advertise here. Better than a wasted complaint rant post - this one might be useful to someone

Just one I was reading the other day, I'd say it was a complaint and a bit of a rant. Admittedly carbineer boards are notas bad as, for example,the BH boards (they are downright nasty at times, I've given up with trying reasonable posts) and that post listed above was quiteinteresting, but still considering the other crap that get posted all over the SWG boardsin generalI wouldn't have thought people would take offense at an innocentpost directing attention to a sale. In fact, its because I've found the carbineer boards so laid-back that I thought it would be ok to post here with a clearly labelled, don't waste your time reading if not on Chimaera, post - especially as carbines are one of the less populated professions(getting trainers up to master was a pain) so items rarely seem to get on the trade boards. Seems I was wrong and that some people have taken to taking offence at someone violating the quiet sanctity of 'their' board. If the moderators removed it, fine, I wasn't aware it wasstandard policy but you live and learn.

So in basis, a politely worded 'please don't' would have beenmore considerate and maturethan simply down-marking the post without explanation.

It was just a quick to hand one that I'd been reading as an example. Just a way of demonstrating your comment was not entirely correct. Certainly carbineers complain a lot less than probably have cause to do. With many boards, people seem to assume a very quick 'for us or against us' attitude and don't actually bother to read a message in the spirit it is meant.

You still have not said anything to justify being unpleasent with someone who means no harm and in the past has contributed to this and other boards meaningfully, you have taken offence at nothing. As you are someone very vocal on this board, often with good things to say, I would expect more tolerance and insight from you. Perhaps you feel as a person often heard you have some measure of power and see this as a way of exercising it and playing to the crowd. Or perhaps you are merely thoughtless. Maybe its a bad day, who knows. I do know you are not justified in your attitude.

Whatever problem you may have, I hope this is cathartic for you at least. Been quite funny for me.

From what I can see, none of TAfirehawks posts here have been inappropriate. He was simply answering your question about why you were 1 starred, and pointing out that your post is not appropriate for the general carbineer forum and belongs on the trade forums.

As for why your post is not appropriate on the general carbineer forum, it is not applicable to the vast majority of people who use the carbineer forum. Yes, a single advertisement post is a nuisance but not that big a deal. However, if they start becoming more prevalent, the forums will quickly become unusable form the spam. the comments about your post are a reflection of that worry.
