Of course they don't know that Counterattack hasn't worked for 12 months. And at this point I don't care how/why it gets fixed....JUST FIX IT.

Interesting...
Did you read #5?
I hope this implies range mitigation is going as well. It is a monster that is applied unevenly to the professions. There is no way to balance it and if it goes, the game will be better off for it.

Yeah #5 didn't mention Ranged Mitigation and it is so difficult to read between the lines from the Devs when half of what they actually print changes anyways.....
Maybe after 12 months they will stop the stealth nerfs/fixes and communicate with us......they really can't hide their changes

I can't wait to see the looks on the dev's faces when they give their precious Jedi counter attack skills, only to realize THEY ARE BROKEN! Oh no! What are we going to do?!?I know, let's fix counter attack.4 hours later, counter attack gets fixed. I knew Jedi were good for something.
As far as mitigation, they didn't mention anything about ranged mitigation. I wonder if they plan on that as well. At first, I took it as "Ok, let's take away some of the melee player's defense so ranged attackers have a better shot at damaging them," but then I realized that's not what is happening at all. It's basically adding to the offensive power of melee, which as we all know is not a good thing sinse they are allready over powered compared to ranged classes.

This would be adding offensive power of melee only so far as it affects other players which currently have melee mitigation, which is other melee players. This would not affect offensive power of melee players relative to ranged players in any direct way.

"Jedi should have a small chance to "counterattack" exactly like Carbineers"
Unfortunately, I think that the jedi class will get exactly what they are asking for
On the subject of melee mitigation going away, perhaps they are trying to avoid what has happened to melee classes so far. Melee mitigation hit every profession hard except TKA. The TKA damage range is so tight that melee mitigation does almost nothing to their damage output in PvP. With melee mitigation gone, I suspect that the devs are hoping to add a little more diversity to the melee and lightsaber styles.

Just goes to show how "enlightened" the Jedi really are......they are supposed to be experienced in all profs..... LOL

Jedi are very enlightened and experienced in all profs. Just ask any of them:
-"To grind dancer, use this macro..."
-"To grind rifleman, use this shot against this mob..."
-"To grind doctor, make this item with this macro..."
-"To grind merchant, either do this or get a lot of friends to do this..."

I think they should just give a Jedi slot to any master carbineer that has been a master for 6 or more consecutive months. It will keep the Jedi count low, and how could you ask for a more enlightened group than that?

If counterattack was fixed, it might be interesting to get some Swordsman to cap out at 125. I think some good state defenses are in the same line.

I wonder what they mean by the accuracy change. Think it would be wise then to keep the really nice BH accuracy mods (+215) or you think it would be overkill? I keep on hearing rumors of exaggerating accuracy and such and I'm not sure if thats better or worse for a non-BH. (If I dropped BH but got master marksman I'd have 165 with my tapes).

I thought about that but I think that is kind of a waste of points. When you consider the cap is 125 and at Master we get 105, you are spending a lot of points for 20 more counterattack. In this case even more than others, it makes the most sense to grab a few skill tapes since you only need 20 points of skill tapes to make out at 125.

I agree, when you can afford it always go for the SEA's over the SP's. You can always make more money but you will never get more skill points.
