Thread: Opinion on template...

Allright, I had dropped master commando which was my first love and decided that carbs go well do to their lack of an assault rifle. It was a fun template and more effective then what many would say.

Decided to go ahead and try Doc with carbs as I used to be a pretty decent TKM/Doc with another character. I am liking the ability to buff myself on a whim and not have to worry bout DoT's in PvP or PvE with my Carb/Doc template.

Now... after tonight at a pa meeting and a lot of discussion. It was brought to my attention that we might need a CM. We already have 2 inexperienced docs and no CM's. I have been working to try and help our docs learn the trade and they are starting to come along as they are used to being fighters more than healers. I am typically the tactician of our close knitgroup (hehe hence why I love my carbs). I mentioned that it should be fun to go dig up some krayt dragons to let the docs work and see how it would go without a ranged healer.

Needless to say I ended up field buffing two of ours after rezing them and rezing/field buffing one straggler desperately trying to outdamage us (Hey I am a good sport) However, he was learning and getting better to the point that I may not need to be handling the doc part anymore if they learn from their mistakes and get better at staying in combat while being able to handle rezing/healing/buffing and keeping their droid alive.

I am considering doing Master Carb/MCM. I haven't been a CM in a very long time, and it was with TKM that I dabbled in it on another character for poisons etc. If our docs are gonna be able to handle the workload and our melee types are begging for it for PvE so they can have ranged healing and wear less armor to none at all. I am not interested in mixing the Carb/Doc/CM template even though I know of a couple that are great combos. It has to be Master Carb/MD or Master Carb/CM... no dabbling for me in this. I am worried about the healing aspect more than the PvP aspect of CM. Any of you out there that are a Master Carb/MCM? If so, could you let me know how you like the Ranged Support/Heal Support aspect of the combo? How would you rate that as being a strong support template (especially with possible mitigation leaving the tanks and possible armor reduction on comp)?

Again this is support only not attack, so no flaming as this is not for some FotM power usage. Thanks in advance for any advice people
